Has anyone tried Electrostimulas - if so any pointers?

MistressDarkArt -> RE: Electrostimulas - Anyone Tried It? (10/5/2013 8:40:37 PM)

smartstim.com

Everything you ever wanted to know about electro.

Have fun!

GotSteel -> RE: Electrostimulas - Anyone Tried It? (10/5/2013 10:10:13 PM)

I second that, there are a few around here with estim experience but there's more information at smartstim than anywhere else on the net.

Greta75 -> RE: Electrostimulas - Anyone Tried It? (10/5/2013 10:27:00 PM)

Check out the violet wand thread.

Personally, i am still figuring how it can bring me orgasms. Not working much for me. I just feel electric shock jabbing my insides when I insert an egg. And with the clitorial device I have, it again just sends shock waves which can be painful.

I am trying to get someone to tie me up and use it on me to see if any improvement.

TopDawgKY -> RE: Electrostimulas - Anyone Tried It? (10/6/2013 12:32:36 AM)

There are a number of good electro stim units out there. Usually you get what you pay for. For starting out I'd strongly suggest you stay away from things that plug in to the wall. Yes, yes, yes, the violet wand is safe and does plug in. Battery operated units tend to be less expensive AND if something goes wrong are less likely, in my non-electrical engineer opinion, to cause a serious problem. Also of some importance are the attachments that will work with the unit. Not all attachments work with all units, but some units have converters that will allow you to use attachments for some of the more popular units with them. Also, the number of channels is important. Each channel allows you to hook an attachment to it, and usually vary the strength and pattern or frequency of the stimulation.

On occasion, and depending on where you are, you can find someone in the local kink community who is giving a class or demonstration of violet wands, e-stim's, tens units, and so forth. It's a good place to start. Also, if you look around, you can probably find someone that has one or more units of various types and maybe they'll teach you a thing or two.

njlauren -> RE: Electrostimulas - Anyone Tried It? (10/6/2013 11:35:09 AM)

It is wise to learn about the devices before using them. Purple wands are a lot of fun, but in terms of having the ability to cause an orgasm, depends on the person, I have had an orgasm forced out of me in session by it being used on my genitals (this was in my pro domme days), but I suspect that was more about my handling the sensation and turning into erotic energy, then direct stimulation..

Tens units and the like can do that, depending on how you set them, they can either cause pain or pleasure and they can cause orgasms. There are simple, cheap tens units that are running about 50 bucks these days, and they work, but I would see what others are saying and buy something that is multi channel and where the channels are independent from each other (i.e they don't share a common ground), which allows working a lot more safely. Some of the units made for play, by people like Eros Tek and PES (if they still exist), are more sophisticated and probably have more potential for play.

As far as worrying about plug in devices, the downside is you have to have it plugged in, bit awkward, battery powered tens units are small and self contained. The plug in devices have an external transformer and the voltage and power going into the unit is limited by that, usually the transformers I have seen have the same output of a 9 v battery and thus are no different then a tens unit.

peppermint -> RE: Electrostimulas - Anyone Tried It? (10/6/2013 11:47:02 AM)

We have a violet wand and an Eros Tek. They are both rather expensive items. We get lots of use out of the violet wand. We take it to play parties and there is always a group around it playing and laughing. The Eros Tek gets very little use as in maybe once a year or two. Gary bought it just before we met. It does nothing for me at all. There are some people like me who get nothing out of it and there are some people who love the thing.

If I had my choice whether to buy the Eros Tek or a violet wand I'd go with the wand. It's easier to use. It can be lots of fun to use. You don't' have to worry about a long sterilization process between users. It's a great ice breaker at parties.

Oh man....I SO did not want to see that! [:(]

kalikshama -> RE: Electrostimulas - Anyone Tried It? (10/9/2013 9:15:14 AM)

As I was maxed out on Ibuprofen for the day, I used my TENS last night for that-time-of-the-month back pain. It worked! I was reading the second Crossfire novel while doing this and was tempted to put down the book and pick up my Eroscillator, but I was too tired [:(]

Smartstim says they are probably closing in november.

So, as always for all things electrical, google Uncle Abdul.

kalikshama -> RE: Electrostimulas - Anyone Tried It? (10/9/2013 9:24:10 AM)

Ya, smartstim says:

This site will Close during November 2013 and NEEDS your help if we are to remain open. Will ALL members please READ the Information here - Thank you for takeing the time to Read this - Site Admin

I'm not a member so have not read the message.

MistressDarkArt -> RE: Electrostimulas - Anyone Tried It? (10/9/2013 8:00:47 PM)

^^^

Smartstim is run on voluntary member donations of whatever amount you can afford. I'm not on the site much anymore, but I try to send them a donation each year because nowhere else on the web will you get as much accurate information as you will there. It is an active, knowledgeable, friendly non-snarky site with quick member response when someone has a question.

To my best knowledge, smartstim is the only site to have a great "Female Perspective" section where women and their partners can find the answers they need about estim. There's a lot out there floating around for men, but women can be much tougher to dial in with estim (literally and figuratively). If you're a female interested in riding lightning, or someone wanting to experiment with estim on a female partner, there is simply no better place to go.

Folks at smartstim work very hard to keep the site open. Climberr is the administrator and he's had a tough time health-wise, but he knocks himself out to keep the site up. It's an overwhelmingly thankless job. Pop a tenner or better their way; they'll enter you in a drawing for fabulous (and very expensive) equipment prizes. Membership has other privileges too: estim videos members (male and female) make for the education and enjoyment of other members. Some of them are quite spectacular and all are absolutely authentic.

Smartstim's the real thing, folks. Even a small donation would help so much if everyone chips in. Please support them.

MistressDarkArt -> RE: Electrostimulas - Anyone Tried It? (10/9/2013 8:16:26 PM)

Here is the message from Climberr about the smartstim fund drive:

hi,

As you are a registered member, and as requested by members, I wish to
inform you that due to a number of developments it has been decided to
extend the current Funding Drive until 4th November.

As some know I was taken ill recently and as a result I launched the
current drive 2 weeks earlier than planned. This was in case I was not up to
starting the drive at the normal time if I became worse or simply not up to
it.

I would `normally` run a drive for 1 month and overlap that with a week at
the beginning and end of the drive to allow members to budget.

Now I have had time to address those initial dates , and because of
requests from members , I have extended the timescale for this drive.

This will also enable members to participate in the `Giveaway` outlined
below. I did not think it fair that members who allways support the site in
fund drives may miss out due to lack of prior notice.

Information on the Drive is available here -
http://smartstim.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=213089&f=33#p213089

I am pleased to announce that -

Gary - http://www.happystim-usa.com/
Eric - http://www.erostek.com/
Wayne - http://www.e-stim.co.uk/index.php
spanknspark - http://www.estimrubber.co.uk/

The Details-

1 ) Gary will donate a percentage of his sales during the months of OCTOBER
/ NOVEMBER / DECEMBER towards the drive. In addition Rob at LiquaStim and
Gary will be donating , an E-Stim Water Encapsulator device sized to the
lucky recipient.

2) Eric has donated a NEW EROSTEK ET312 ... and yes it is in BLACK !!!!!!

3) Wayne has donated a 2B with digital link and UK/US PSU.

4) spanknspark has donated a pair of rings, a bi-pole ring and an expanding
(spring) ring.

I will be giving these items away as a thank you to lucky members who
donate to the site during the drive ( and any member who donated to the
site prior to the drive during September).

Full details of the Giveaway are available here -
http://smartstim.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=213749#p213749

Last but not least -

Please remember that the site Is not commercial and funded soly by
donations from its members.

It IS your site and can only be what you allow it to be with whatever funds
we have available.

Remember this is a your site, run by past members FOR the members and is
not commercially funded.

pm me on site if you wish to be removed from the membership. If you cant
access the site due to logon issues , then register a new temp nickname and
pm me.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Yes.

Always keep electro play under 470 volts.

BurntKitty -> RE: Electrostimulas - Anyone Tried It? (10/10/2013 7:08:44 PM)

I enjoyed the violet wand. However, my reaction in the days following it was not good. It left a sensation on my back, similar to a sunburn. Since I would normally walk to work (and being it was in South Florida and 80ish degrees) I perspired, and anywhere the moisture ran, I blistered.

The person who used me as a demo bottom was very experienced with it, I'd known him and he wasn't negligent or at fault for anything. I happen to have skin sensitive to the wand. (Who knew I was a sensitive lil Kitteh? I thought I had a snark toughened hide.) Just my experience, ymmv.

My back spasms are easily helped with the tens unit. I love it, but just for use on my back & neck.

Electrical cords (unplugged) are awesome for use in impact play or as a mind fuck if they're spliced, and the wires exposed.

(Edited for typo. Note to self, don't post while watching Daaa Bears!!!!)

You can still click on the attachment to see it. Warning: what has been seen cannot be unseen. Not for the squeamish.

MissVixen29 -> RE: Electrostimulas - Anyone Tried It? (12/29/2013 4:21:36 PM)

@Greta75- you're using the wrong TENS unit settings. Either your pattern is TENS and not EMS, your intensity is too high, or you have your surface-area pairings wrong. With the right settings and the right accessories, it's possible to achieve true hands-free orgasms. Smartstim is a good place for information, but if you want to actually buy quality products and get specific information on how best to use them with your particular device, check out www.currentpleasures.com and email their customer service.
