Thing is, I am sure she has had a good run, so long as everybody knows you care and love, that is about all that needs doing, maybe a favor here or there, I am sure pop really isn't doing as well as he lets on.

Take care, remember: If a man lives, it is a certainty he will die.

You have my heart and my thoughts.

Dad can't hardly talk on the phone to me. They are so sweet together it would break your heart. Fuck. She's going to die. I just have the most awful feeling

Well, go clean the house, shine the shoes, find her good dress and jewelry, and --- get things ready.

Then it will be magical when she doesn't, and you can take them out to eat, cuz their finery will be ready.

And you will be thought to be brill, n'est ce pas?

I can't do this. I don't want to be a grown up.

You dont have to be all the time, just an hour here, an afternoon there. Then you can be a little for the balance of the time.

Just think of how your father wishes he was small and could hide behind the couch right now.

You can, and you will. We never know how strong we are until we have to be strong.

Hugs and good vibes your way.

Isn't that what Eleanor Roosevelt said something about a tea bag and hot water?

I totally relate. That's exactly how I feel about my upcoming surgery.

Big hugs to you!

Mrs. R. said a woman is like a tea bag: You don't know how strong she is till she's in hot water.

Jesus, that was way off of what I was thinking, but I am scared of her big teeth.

Missdressed -> RE: I'm sorry I've not been here but you remember my mum was sick? (10/7/2013 11:43:24 AM)

Dad just phoned. He says it doesn't look good.

Fuck.

How old is Mum? What did her and Da do when you were growing up, regale us with some stories of the woman, then. Tell us about her life.

Missdressed -> RE: I'm sorry I've not been here but you remember my mum was sick? (10/7/2013 11:48:20 AM)

She's mad as a box of frogs.

When she was 62 my boys called her granny. And she decided she didn't like it so she dyed her hair pink purple and bright blue. It was always in a short spikey crop.

She's 70. Smokes like a train. And drinks like a fish.

Used to slide down the banisters in our old house and ripped her skirt doing so.

Broke the sofa being Errol Flynn

Shall I continue? There's loads.

Oh, yeah. A real Hello, Dolly type. This is a kink site, though, does she spank?

Missdressed -> RE: I'm sorry I've not been here but you remember my mum was sick? (10/7/2013 11:51:18 AM)

Lolling. Oh yes. With a carpet beater when she was mad. She had a proper tawse. And hers was 3 pronged. Hurt like a fucking bugger.

Do you know how many submissives just came all over themselves across the globe?

Tell us more about Mum. We want to know who we are going to be missing, someday, and it is good for you.

Missdressed -> RE: I'm sorry I've not been here but you remember my mum was sick? (10/7/2013 11:58:56 AM)

She ran the house. She was the boss. And then some.

Have you ever caught Mum and Da playing put the pony in the barn? How did that go....give us the details, now.

Lol

I was quite young when I had no1 son. She was 47 so was dad.

We had a set of bunk beds in the loft in the garage. Proper ones made of Canadian redwood by my great uncle.

She made my dad and uncle sprachle them down from the loft. The sweat was lashing off them. Dad said "right where do you want these things now"

"In out bedroom. If you think I'm sleeping with a grandpa you've another think coming"

You are in my thoughts.
