I was a paid member of match so I can't speak to the unpaid part. I won't lie and say you'll find someone there quickly (or any vanilla site, whether it's paid or free) or even at all. I'm just saying that my personal experience was that I met more potential BDSM partners there (as opposed to CM where most tend to view you as a Fetish Delivery Device). I was on match for over 5 years and kissed a lot of frogs before I found my prince. But I did find Him.

5 years??!! Jeez, I've been on match for about 2 months and I'm already sick of it... same story - those I'm interested in don't seem to be interested in me. Kinda like here (CM). If I wanted to write letters that would never get responded to, or worse never even read, I'd have addressed them to Santa...
But I'm still in favor of casting a wide net.

I was on alt for a while years back and did meet several women, none worked out but that is life. I think men trying to meet women have the same trouble on all dating sites. That is the women are deluged with contact mail and after a while they simply start ignoring all of it and either leave the service or do their own contact.
