I'm pretty sure that the Tea Party guys will try it again in January. The real question is - will the rest of the House Republicans go along with it this time?

No doubt the creepy crackers will squeak and squawk....

And exactly correct is the question of whether j-boner gets a ball transplant in the near future.

He`s probably the weakest, most inafective speaker in recent history...

Keep in mind, Owner, that Boneless is taking care of Job One - holding onto his power and prestige. It's not his fault he finds himself in an impossible situation. I suppose we should sympathize, but it feels so damned good to see him squirm...

Not with Nancy Pelosi holding Boeher's leash...

Please. Which politician isn't working to take care of Job One? I can only think of one, and that would be Obama. He knows his job term is up in a few years. He may be setting himself up for a job outside the White House, though.

Part of the problem with politics in the US (could be the same everywhere, but I'm not going to make that claim), is that politicians tend to work towards getting re-elected soon after they are elected.

Why wouldn't they?
Exactly what inconvenience did it cause them this time? The idiots who vote for them will still vote for them whatever ridiculous nonsense they get up to. You've seen how the Republican base on here has been making excuses for the spineless gutless pussies since the last shutdown.

Not only won't they, but the Tea Partiers don't want them to. Right now, their goal is to commandeer the Republican Party, and their plan is to make as much noise as possible, and to make the choice between themselves and the moderates as stark as possible. Unless Boehner can figure out a way to suppress the rightists, they'll be raising hell regularly and claiming that the moderates are wusses for not playing along.
