why be a master? "why" is the question asked by slaves where as Doms and Masters ask the question "why not".

In simple terms, it's where I damn well belong. The benefit of having a grateful sub trying to deepthroat my enormous dick all the way down is a plus.

This question has been asked in the past. From my pov, I think being the one in charge is just dang difficult. I find it overwhelming except in very specific circumstances. And that's what makes me NOT a dom / master / leader. The other side of things - people ENJOY being in charge. That's really what it comes down to as I understand it. There is a pleasure and relaxation in leading for people who are on that side of things.

You might want to use the search button up in the right hand corner. There is a wealth of info available.
best,

The idea of it being worthwhile just doesn't click. That implies that it's something to be worked at. I prefer being in charge, so it's less work for me to be a Dom than otherwise.

I get to show my "stuff" to an appreciative, built-in audience.

My "stuff" is both my physical dick and my years-long experience.  I have always been a teacher, so I get off on teaching kinking sex and power exchange to others.  My slave is my demo bottom and we work each others limits but when teacher says "thus," that's what happens....... Yee-haw!!!

Um, another one of those not quite sure what the OP is going for questions.

As a sadist, I very much enjoy inflicting pain. I like the power of it, and I like feeling the scream more than hearing it. As a dominant in play I like my work. I enjoy molding the other into what I want them to be, once again I like the power of it.

I am not a 24/7 dominant, and have no interest in that. Since I don't like being in charge all the time, I find it annoying.

I'm unsure if there is a question in the OP as well.

If the question is why be one, well some like it. It fits who they are as a person.

Are you asking what makes for a good master? That's an entirely different question.

I have the point of view of a submissive but I want to hear what makes it great for masters?

For me:

A) I like being in the leadership slot. That's why the word "dominant" applies to me.
B) I don't really know how to think any other way -- it's "natural".
C) The fact that sensible people who I respect cede over so much authority to me is evidence of how they see me. It's an ego kick.

That's what makes me a dom. I like challenges. Also as mentioned before there's getting everything on a silver plate. I also get a kick out of being the protector and provider of financial and emotional stability
