I believe in my studies many moons ago. There were such a thing as grand masters.
Although, I'm quite sure all are long dead by now. Old guard days. Which was back in World War 2. I believe a grand master was as someone noted the elder in the home. He had the most respect not because he took it but because he earned it from everyone else.

Today, to my knowledge they no longer exist.

Warm Greetings,

I happened to see on a profile the title "Grand Master," trained in such and such place. I was just curious if there really is such a thing and exactly what they are trained in.

Its what happens when your character finally hits level 20 without mutliclassing - you're a Grand Master, and unless you botched your dice rolls for your character sheet, you should be a Grand Master in whatever class you've picked!

Sadly, once you've hit level 20 the dungeon master usually "accidently loses" your character sheet and you have to start all over again. Its a real pain - not worth the effort, I'd say, though some remarkably fun times can come out of it, if your gaming mates stop raiding your refrigerator every week.

siamsa24 -> RE: "Grand Master" (11/19/2004 6:59:32 PM)

I found this same individual's profile and wrote and asked him about it. He sent me a very long and detailed explanation that I didn't really understand. The most I got out of it is that it takes 5 years of training (some in Europe and some in Asia) and many thousands of dollars. He didn't say what the training consisted of, but he did give me the name of the organization.

siamsa24 -> RE: "Grand Master" (11/19/2004 9:05:15 PM)

Ok, I tried to research the organization that he gave me and have so far come up with nothing.
Has anyone here ever heard of the International Lifestyle Society? He claims that it is highly exclusive and costs hundreds of thousands of dollars to be a part of.

masteroffire -> RE: "Grand Master" (11/20/2004 8:33:22 AM)

Ok, aside from the possibility of a chess player, here is another possibility, though unlikely... perhaps he is referring to grand being a thousand and he thinks he has 1000 subjects who call him Master... Likely all online, and likely all 50-60 year old men claiming to be women in their 20's....

Just a guess.

Actually yes, and you discovered my secret society. Now I must hunt you down.

For others interested in obtaining your Grand Master title, bring $100,000.00 in small bills to Redondo Beach and put them in the garbage container on the corner of Avenue I and the Esplanade. In it will be your Grand Master Ritual Handbook and "Guide to Good Grand Mastering". Go next to the end of the Redondo Pier wearing a red rose in your lapel and I'll have my page and courrier, arriving on white horseback, bring you your Grand Master Certificate.

Yes, I have heard of it. It is affiliated with The International Society of Guys Who Are Full Of Shit. Very exclusive and very secretive, so you won't find any mention of these organizations ANYWHERE. As a matter of fact, part of the membership oath is to never mention either group by name, so anyone claiming to be a member is obviously a liar.

siamsa24 -> RE: "Grand Master" (11/29/2004 10:01:53 AM)

After several e-mails and many questions from me he has threatened me with legal action. He has no grounds, but it is an extreme step. I wanted to put this warning out there in case anyone else wanted to question him about this organization.

stef -> RE: "Grand Master" (11/29/2004 10:14:48 AM)

He threatened you with legal action because you asked him questions?

INSIDEYOURMIND -> RE: "Grand Master" (11/29/2004 10:20:18 AM)

I am surprised he didn't order you killed!

A Grand Master has the same abilities of a 00 agent, and is licensed to kill.

I think the last known Grand Master was the all and powerful OZ, but I just remember the guy behind the curtain.

Mercnbeth -> RE: "Grand Master" (11/29/2004 10:32:51 AM)

siamsa,

Would the trial be held at the "International Court of Justice" in the Hague, Netherlands or "The Justice League" based in The Watchtower on the Moon?

In case anyone's forgotten the origination of the "Justice League":

Two things led to the formation of the next Justice League. First, the enigmatic Know Man boosted the powers of Dr. Destiny to create a world of super-humans (GRAND MASTER's PERHAPS??????). Some of the world’s key heroes, at first believing themselves to be normal and powerless, stopped the pair, believing they were the threat, only to hear Know Man make a cryptic remark that, having defeated his plan, they would have to face a coming menace alone.

Then the Hyperclan arrived. They claimed to be here to help solve the world’s problems, but began a behind-the-scenes campaign to brainwash and enslave the world’s populace. Their plans were uncovered and stopped by seven heroes: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, and the Martian Manhunter.

These seven heroes formed the new Justice League, building their headquarters (the Watchtower) on the moon. The exact makeup of the team has changed, and when Mageddon — the ultimate destructive force Know Man had warned them about — arrived, their roster included the entire human race.

As long as he doesn't interfere with my group we have no problem. By the way, I had to get a bigger garbage container because of all the applicants due to all the publicity from this website. People are starting to complain about the traffic of white horses on Redondo Pier though so I'm searching for another site for the ceremony. Maybe I can rent space from the Justice League?

He actually threatened me because I hinted that I didn't quite believe him.
And he threatened me through another screen name which I believe is an alias that he is using, they have the same speech patterns and strange capitalizations. Unless they go through a special "GrandMaster/Mistress Writing Class"
It gets very confusing actually and I still haven't learned a thing about this organization except that it threatens people that question what they are.

Maybe he's just pulling a Jedi Mind Trick on you; I heard that stuff turns your brain to balls all after a few waves of the hand.

Alternatively, he could just be part of the Illumanti's BDSM sect, and is becoming rather peeved that you're interloping and trying to mess with the Invisible Hand. I know I'd be pissed.

Mercnbeth -> RE: "Grand Master" (11/29/2004 10:47:45 AM)

siamsa24,
I hope you aren't loosing any sleep over his threats, unless it's because you are laughing about him and his 'society'. He (only capitalized because it's the first word of a sentence) sounds like a very lonely and delusional fellow.

siamsa24 -> RE: "Grand Master" (11/29/2004 10:48:29 AM)

lol, and I got both of the jokes! [:D]

I really think that he is just trying to scare me, but so far he is just making me angry

Wait, I need to get this straight, a poser, wannabe, so-called Grand Master, has threatened you?

If this was done online, this is the same as online Domination, which is also a farce, what is he going to do, send you a mean email?, or a picture of his hand to slap you with?

The reason most on this thread have joked about it is the fact that this person is just your typical, run of the mill, cyber ass, use the power of your computer, and block his ass!

siamsa24 -> RE: "Grand Master" (11/29/2004 10:50:45 AM)

Oh no, no sleep lost here. I have gotten a few giggles out of it, but nothing too much [:)]

siamsa24 -> RE: "Grand Master" (11/29/2004 10:54:38 AM)

This is more then a threat of force, he threatened me with legal action through this organization. This is far more serious then a simple online threat. I wanted to warn others about questioning him because if he was able to follow through such actions the effects could be devestating.

The International Lifestyle Society has it's own court for trials involving violations of lifestyle laws. In this case, siamsa can be sued for false advertising because she is asking so many questions and doubting the Grand Master's domly proclamations that she must be lying about being submissive. Being convicted would have serious consequences, because she would then have a record of not being a true submissive and therefore would no longer be eligible to be considered worthy of being the property of ANY certified Grand Masters. Pity the poor girl who suffers such a fate, for she will live the rest of her life dreaming of the bliss she must be missing out on.

Or do you mean as an invitation so that anyone who needs a good laugh can question him?
