and he must be kicking himself because if he wasn't such a monumental dick head he could have made a fortune as a poster boy for the NRA, imagine all the chat shows, books, adverts etc he could have been the star of if.....he wasn't a total cunt, oh and a trigger happy murdering shit

Oh but he IS the poster boy for the NRA. They supported him, their people paid his way in thousands of dollars of donations. Let him reign supreme as what the NRA stands for. The irony is oh so wonderful!

So Florida Republicans protected a criminal for political reasons....

When someone kills another (i.e. MURDER) and never held accountable for it, it just emboldens the individual to break other laws. Since what sort of laws match the seriousness of murder? Since that silly court verdict, he's had run-ins with the law in several states. If your going to say your a 'law abiding citizen with a firearm' that IMPLIES you follow the laws. Whether you agree with them or not, you must follow them. If he keeps up this line of breaking laws so regularly, I think its fair to question whether he was indeed not guilty in the Florida case.

Did I miss the link where all the jury members were republicans? I know you wouldn't make a claim like that without some kind of proof, right? You do understand how the jury system works, right?

I never stated the jury was all Republican. However the state has numerous amounts of Republicans that past that 'Stand Your Ground' law in the first place. The court case Zimmerman was involved in was 'The Test' of the SYG law staying in place in Florida. What did Republicans have to gain by helping a 'neighborhood watch volunteer' defend his life against an evil, menacing, obvious law-breaker that was "...probably up to no good..."? What does the gun industry and the NRA gain by defending Zimmerman in the trial? Both groups had HUGE motivations as it served their agendas.

The Stand Your Ground law as I understand it, simply allows someone to murder someone else with a firearm if they feel the least bit threaten. Which, for some of those paranoid schizophrenic Republicans that isn't much.....

The jury came back with a not guilty verdict. That means they didn't think there was enough proof that he was guilty. Now I know how much you love to blame the right for everything but this is a stretch even for you.

If they send Zimmy down for this, who will the NRA use as their poster boy for the next six months?

I notice that no-one is collecting any legal-defense fund for a poor public-defender-needing piece-of-shit wife beater...

Now he is a wife beater. How the fuck did I miss that one? Any links for more info?

Actually, no. We knew he would have a hard life after his false imprisonment. It would be hard on anyone and he should have been given free counseling and follow-ups for months, maybe even years, for the tragic miss-carriage of justice that ruined his life and his marriage. I don't know anyone who would come out of such an experience with his sense of normalcy in tact and so we can all simply hope and pray he gets the help he deserves and can right his life again. Think of it, he cannot go anywhere without a disguise nor can he even hold a decent job so he is wasting away and it must be very hard and unsettling. Then there are the haters who helped tear his life apart for over a year and now jump on this as some sort of vindication for their crimes against an innocent fellow human being. Those are the real criminals in this story.

Dafuq did I just read?!?!

"False imprisonment"? He was charged with a crime. How the hell is that "false imprisonment"? That's S.O.P. when you get charged with breaking the law. In this case, stalking and executing a young man for daring to carry candy and iced tea back to where he was staying. The fact that he was acquitted does not mean that he was falsely imprisoned for any time spent in jail as part of the judicial process.

The way I see it is that if George was so worried about his "tragic post trial life," perhaps he should learn to keep his hands (and bullets) off other people? It's not the world's fault Zimmerman keeps doing stupid shit that gets him in trouble. That's HIS responsibility, HIS decisions. Poor as they are anyway.

Of course I don't believe it but if you could show me the evidence that I missed out on, I might be convinced.

It doesn't fit. You can make things up in your own mind putting people into nice neat little categories but it doesn't make it true.

Fast reply.......

I can't really be the only one who thinks like this.

If I had managed to shoot another person. Make it through the trial. Bless My lucky stars that I wasn't convicted. (Innocent or not, trial is a roll of the dice.) Have the ability to walk out a free person.........

Wouldn't you think that would be enough to get it knocked into your head to stay the hell out of trouble?

Before, I was at best ambivalent about his case, but his lawyers HAD to have told him to keep a low profile afterwards, which he apparently ignored. Now, I will give consideration to the girlfriend possible hamming it up for effect. She knew that whatever she said would be broadcast eventually, and it had to sound good. Not saying he was an angel here, but the truth, as always, will lie somewhere in the middle of the argument.

I don't have any sympathy for either of them.. she knew his history and still took up with the creep.. if ya don't want to get burned then don't play with fire!.. [:D]

Nosathro -> RE: George Zimmerman Arrested (11/20/2013 7:48:22 AM)

My understanding is that Zimmerman is about 2 million dollars in debt. His ex-wife served him divorce papers while he was in jail on assaulting his girlfriend. Of course considering his past with bank accounts and passport he more then likely has a gun or two some where "he forgot" to tell the judge about.

Makes you wonder if she took up with him solely for the chance to become an 'instant celebrity', what do you think? What better way to get your face out there and maybe a movie/book deal for sale? Yeah, I'm a cynic. He's an idiot, to be sure, but I still think the truth is somewhere in the middle here. She's got halfway decent looks, kinda crazy eyes, but that goes with the territory here. She may have decided it was time to 'pull the trigger' (pun intended) on this, if she did have an ulterior motive.

I quite like him. I think he's quite nice as trigger-happy murdering shits go.

Taking a beating for nearly a minute while unable to escape and screaming for help before finally pulling the trigger to save your own life is hardly the definition of "trigger happy" or "murdering".

Funny how after over a year of the evidence being available that disproves murder people still are so misinformed.

Yeah getting hit for a minute is certainly cause to kill someone. Under that standard I should have killed a couple of dozen people by now.

I dunno.. I sorta put her in the file of "Crazy Loser Groupies that Write To/Love Crazy Loser Jailbirds".. some of those dudes say they get hundreds of women writing them.. even women sending them money, even getting married to em.. like the 25 year old dumb chick (with halfway decent looks) claiming to be engaged to Manson! I guess the saying that "every pot has a lid" is right!.. [:D]
