Nope, it's none of their business. Anymore than whether I'm straight or how often I have sex. My doctor is there to do what I tell them, when I tell them, that's basically it. My private life is nothing to do with them.

Why would somebody want to tell their doctor they were into BDSM? This sounds like some weird exhibitionism. The doctor probably doesn't want or need to know.

why tell? Because the doctors ask about your marks, cuttings, bruises, etc...? I'd rather my doc know it's consensual and that I'm not being abused. I'd rather not have the police on our doorstep since it's mandatory for docs to call if they feel the patient is being abused.

So yeah, I'm gonna tell I'm into bdsm, rough sex, etc....nothing to do with exhibitionism and everything to do with not wanting Master to go to jail.

You deliberately play before you go to your doctor?

If I'm going to my doctor, I stop play to let any marks heal.

In 12 years of s&m, never once have I had to expose a bruise or mark to my doctor.

I'd love to be so lucky that all my doc visits were planned.

That is not my life these days.

Deliberately? No...I just don't think about it. I don't sit down and say "I have a dr's appt tomorrow so I better not play". It's just not even something that crosses my mind. Besides it's not my choice and Master doesn't really think about it either. Plus I don't always know when dr's appts are going to be. Most times they are unexpected.
