ORIGINAL: VideoAdminChi Perhaps those of you who use checklists and such could post links to them here? Actually, no. I use a modified checklist I put together based on the ones in Screw the Roses, Send Me the Thorns, Training With Miss Abernathy, and Master Fire's book. I also use most of the questionnaires and some of the writing exercises in the Miss Abernathy books. People will have to go to Amazon and order them. I think there are links in the BDSM book list sticky. quote:
ORIGINAL: littlewonder meh....wouldn't just talking and getting to know each other work even better? Always has for me. The only way I see checklists actually working is if it's a casual or business situation. Otherwise, I'd say there's a huge, huge, communication gap. *snort* You're assuming some of us can retain that much information and have perfect recall on command. I can barely remember what I ate for breakfast...or if I even ate breakfast. Seriously, though, I use these as a stepping stone to start conversations in the getting-to-know-you stage of a D/s relationship. I like to have something I can read and process over time. I want to be able to refer back to things, occasionally more than once. Sometimes I make notes in the file of ideas for play/scenes that occur to me while I'm reading. As a writer, it's as natural as breathing for me to keep a notebook of ideas. Conversation doesn't work for that.
