Ahhhh, yes! Further proof that it's okay to be a scumbag racist if you have the correct letter after your name!

I dunno what you mean by "another", but that crap is unacceptable anywhere, coming from anyone.

DaddySatyr -> RE: Scumbag PPLs Mock a Baby (12/31/2013 5:08:20 AM)

You ever listened to Chris Rock when he gives his dissertation on the difference between "black people" and "N _ _ _ _ _ s"?

How about that foul-mouthed, racist cunt Lisa Lampanelli?

I could go on and on but, I fear my words might be falling on deaf ears.

However, to be fair; when I used the word "another", I was referencing the age-old: "I was just kidding. It was a joke" excuse when someone puts their foot in the sewer under their nose.

When making a critical observation about someone being foul mouthed, on the whole I'm not convinced it helps your point if you do so in a foul mouthed way yourself.

Just sayin...

Rock pushes things, agreed. But at least he's funny. I have no idea why anyone would listen to Lampanelli. She's just not funny, in addition to being racist.

mnottertail -> RE: Scumbag PPLs Mock a Baby (12/31/2013 8:32:02 AM)

Sorry, I don't think it is ok to be a scumbag racist if you have an R after your name.

EdBowie -> RE: Scumbag PPLs Mock a Baby (12/31/2013 10:27:56 AM)

You might want to listen to the entire Chris Rock bit from start to finish. including the 'fan'.

Some people think Randy Newman hates short people as well.

Well, I think those on the left must subliminally think it's ok for "them" to be ..."kind of racist" because they put President Pantload in office after all.
So, it's ok for them but not for you.
Them being the people of priviledge now.

mnottertail -> RE: Scumbag PPLs Mock a Baby (12/31/2013 1:34:10 PM)

I think that someone who cannot spell privilege is probably racist, at least subliminally.

TheHeretic -> RE: Scumbag PPLs Mock a Baby (12/31/2013 2:14:25 PM)

This was just shitty, and yet another example of what filthy scum the assholes at that network truly are.

mnottertail -> RE: Scumbag PPLs Mock a Baby (12/31/2013 2:44:53 PM)

Yeah, playing filthy scum that nutsackers say on the public airwaves, it is horrendous.

MsMJAY -> RE: Scumbag PPLs Mock a Baby (12/31/2013 5:52:53 PM)

My initial reaction to reading this was disgust. But, I don't watch the Melissa Harris Perry Show and I didn't hear the comments. I Googled it and watched it on youtube. I watched it and listened carefully 3 times. What was the racist part? I must have missed it. What exactly did they say that was racist? Here's the link to it.

By watching the video in your link, I realized that you didn't read the initial article.

The offensive bit from the show was hard to hear; I'll grant you that. However, had you read the article I linked to, they spelled it out for you:

quote:

"One of these things is not like the others, one of these things just isn’t the same,” panelist Pia Glenn offered as a caption for the photo, which the Romneys tweeted on Christmas Eve. (Lyrics of the original Sesame Street song are, “One of these things just doesn’t belong.”)

“And that little baby, front and center, would be the one,” Glenn said.

This fine example of humanity was mocking a baby because the baby was black; because it "wasn't the same". What an ignoramus.

And in claiming not to notice a problem, while the host of the show is puffing out tweets of unequivocal apology, I sorta doubt information gaps are the only glitch in comprehension.

MsMJAY -> RE: Scumbag PPLs Mock a Baby (1/1/2014 4:41:44 AM)

Is that it?

I read the article. Then I actually watched and listened to that segment of the show before drawing a conclusion.

Did you actually watch and listen to the segment of show before drawing your conclusion?

It was not hard to hear. I clearly heard one of the commentators sing "one of these things is not like the others." But she did not say the child did not belong here. I also clearly heard others call the baby "cute" and "most gorgeous." These are hardly the words of people attempting to "mock" a child for being black. (BTW- they are right he IS a very beautiful child.)

If anyone was offended, they should have apologized. That would be the decent thing to do, but the child is adopted, and black and looks different from his adopted family. I know some people like to say "I don't see color."That's actually a myth and a lie. We ALL see color and we should. (after all skin color the most obvious things about being black.) We just shouldn't treat others differently because of it.

Like I said, if anyone was offended then apologies should have been given and they were. But to say these are the words of a scumbag racist? Not even close.

Lucylastic -> RE: Scumbag PPLs Mock a Baby (1/1/2014 7:31:41 AM)

I wonder if they looked up the meaning of "kieran" before actually naming him.
Gender: M
Popularity: 92% this week.
Origin of Kieran: Irish
Meaning of Kieran: "little dark one"

http://nameberry.com/babyname/Kieran/boy

Kieran \ki(e)-ran\ as a boy's name is pronounced KEER-en. It is of Irish and Gaelic origin, and the meaning of Kieran is "black".

You're not getting it because you are assuming that the article means that the two black women involved were racist against blacks due to what was said. Since this a conservative whining what is really meant is those mean black women noticed race at all therefore reverse racism!
