The terms are the simplistic way of describing what we like but the word "lifestyle" seems to have a deeper meaning. As I said, there are no absolutes, but I'm certainly willing to share with you what it means to me, personally. I live an M/s lifestyle, Master/slave, in which Himself is 'always' Master with all the rights which having such authority gives to him and it permeates every part of our life together. That said, it is his desire and only with his permission that I have the autonomy to take care of the business of day to day living such as taking care of the bills, buying the groceries etc., and thus free him for other pursuits. What those pursuits may be are none of my concern unless he chooses to share them with me. He knows, as do I, that at any given moment, any of that may be altered through his will. Should he decide, suddenly, that micromanagement will better serve his needs, then micromanagement it shall be. If he decides it will better serve his needs to release me and send me away.. then I have no doubt, I shall be sent away. It is my ardent desire that this does not happen so I do my best to please him with quick obedience and by pleasing him through anticipation of his needs and desires. That's worked for 10+ years and it is my hope it shall continue to work until one of us is no longer around. My style of life, is one of service to the owner. His style of life is one of ownership of a slave. The BDSM is entertainment.. one of the ways we play .. that will go away as we both age and infirmary and disability to engage in some of the activities departs but the M/s, as long as he desires it, as long as I continue to please him, and with a bit of luck, that will last the rest of our lives. This is how I view the M/s lifestyle for us. Celeste
