ORIGINAL: defiantbadgirl I know the family needs time to grieve, but why grieve beside a decomposing body? Decomposing bodies are dangerous. They spread plague. That's why funeral homes don't want anyone near bodies that haven't been embalmed. You do realize that the plague is a bacterial infection (Yersinia pestis) that comes from infected animals and their fleas, yes? So unless the Children's Hospital was infested with flea-ridden diseased rats or she was handling said rats in her brain dead state, odds are pretty good she isn't infected with the plague. Just because you are dying or dead, it DOES NOT mean you are spontaneously infected with the plague. Feel free...in fact maybe you really should...read up on this from the CDC. It will help you to learn more about this stuff you claim that little girl's body is spewing all over the place . You need an ANIMAL RESERVOIR, not a decomposing body, to spread the plague. You're welcome. By the way, bodies are embalmed to slow the decomposition of human remains so you don't look like a pile of festering meat at your funeral. It's not to prevent you from spreading a plague you don't have. Unless of course you were infected with Yersinia pestis from a flea that was on a rat. Neither she nor her family are hurting you. So what is the big deal with her parents letting her go on THEIR time, not your time?
