Hmmm. Fast reply, I guess.

As it happens, the anniversary of my brother's death is tomorrow, in case that brings a smile to somebody's face. He isn't the only one I've lost, but hopefully he's enough.

Fast reply:

Thanks to the compassionate people who have written me. I really appreciate your wise words.

Not everyone knows when to keep their mouths shut if they have nothing nice to say.

Yeah, illness (her's and mine), a sexless marriage, and overseas work in an environment where all the woman were culturally submissive, but mega-unhot have had me on sex/kink hiatus for dozens of months at a time. 'Didn't love it.

I used the down time to clarify what I wanted and why. When I saw -even on the internet- a woman who was giving off a sweet sub vibe, I'd drink it in like a guy in wandering in a desert. Discretely, of course -well, one hopes, anyway.

They were to me facts on the ground of the reality that there were good, hot women wandering the earth and that I could eventually be with one of them.

There is someone here who posts a lot whom I'd be grateful for the opportunity to send a bottle of Veuve Cliquot over to in real life for her healing example over the years. 'Never contacted her, never will, but she's surely done a lot of lonely guy social work here without even being aware of it.

You ask us how to do it, but you're already doing it. You're sucking it up, developing yourself here, looking to the future, and formulating a plan.

Sincere best of luck with all that. Your future is brighter and closer than you probably know at the moment.

Has anyone else had to put their search for, or participating in a dynamic because of career and/or life circumstances on hold? If so, how did you deal with or cope with it? Thank you for reading this and/or replying if you do.

Like Missokyst, I am caring for my old and sick parents and my life is "on hold" for the time being. I keep telling myself that this is a temporary thing and eventually I will be able to pursue my interests.
Me having to put my life on hold for them is a price I will gladly pay.

That's because you have your priorities in order.

Just so you know, it can be done. My man is living with his elderly parents and spends a good 20 hours per week managing things for them, on top of working full time, but he manages to see me as well. He can't spend the night at my place anymore, but we didn't sleep well in the same bed anyway.

I don't mind the occasional disruption caused by ill parents - I think better of him for being willing to do this and it's giving me a preview of what's to come for my mother in 10-15 years.

Thank you everyone for replying to this post. Got some good idea about how others deal/have dealt with it. I do understand that the choice to not look until I retired is all Mine. I am OK with that. The time is coming soon [:)]
