I'm an RN, working in the OR - and I don't remember mutant kangaroos in Tank Girl. Of course, it has been a while, and I don't remember much about it.

I try very hard to break software for a living. Programmers hate me, but I help make their code better. And I've never even seen Tank Girl.

Very well said...in day life when I observe how some mothers behave in stores or on footpaths as if they deserve the red carpet just for driving their kid around and expect everyone to be oh so interested in their nappy-wearer and jump the queue for it and feel oh so special and so on, all I can think of is "another one who forgot her brain in the hospital after the childbirth..." Now thats just my sarcasm and not to offend anyone but observing mothers can really be quite interesting[8\|]

But when someone hijacks a thread they are changing the subject without any provocation. I never did this. Someone aks me a question and I answer it honestly. If you are looking for people who hijacks threads, why don't you nail those people who aks questions of another that has nothing to do with the subject matter? Someone aks me, "Your profile reads like you are single so how can you be a stay at home single mom of 5 kids? Heck, I have only 2 and could not afford to even be just part-time!!" Why didn't you say to this person, "Oh you are hijacking this thread because you are aksing a question that doesn't even relate to it."? But when I give an honest answer you says, "I hijack the thread." Why is that? To the Moderator: I never hijacked this thread. People aks me a question and I give an honest answer. I even stated earlier that this thread is about the original question and not about me. Don't I have a right to answer someone if they aks me a question?

Lorraine, since this is casual banter, in off topic, the 'hijacking' of threads is more benevolently overseen here, and great latitudes of thread drift are common. At some point a moderator may indeed come in here and restate the topic and say get on with it (not doing so is a 3 day ban) but usually they are quite laissez faire here in this forum.

If my answers are considered hijacking the thread, then the person aksing me the question is also hijacking the thread.

I don't think she said you intentionally hijacked this thread. I think she said "Since we're already so far off topic, I'm going to continue the trend" (just how I read it) But for what its worth- I'd also like to know the answer to her question.

I used to be a Nauga breeder specializing in spotted and lop-eared Naugas. However, that all ended with the hoof & mouth outbreak a few years ago.

Disabled due to mental illness which is hereditary. Used to do volunteer work at my daughter's Headstart program while going to college, did electronic retail, maintain webpages, temp jobs until getting hired by the State of Texas as an admin tech II (dealing with insurance companies). Was on welfare for 18 months until I started going to college so I could spend time with my only (4 miscarriages, 5 babies) child.
