Status: offline 		With respect I ask, what is the percentage of us(esp. Doms)who are just full of shit? 50-70-90%? I'm a bit new, the last 15 years, but I swear, from what I hear from subs, and have met myself, most doms are just scared, frustrated men who hide behind the mask of "DOM".
Yeah,yeah I get the intensity, and in some cases the deep bond that can be there with a M/s , D/s relationship. But you women who are ,like 22, and start off with, "I am a slave and want to be totally owned"..yet havent even lived on your own yet, paid a bill, took care of an elderly relative..etc? C'mon...
And?, I truly dont care, one way or the other, I just like my fellow humans not wasting time!
Find out who you are first, develop self-esteem(yes you subs are allowed to have that)and just get out and have fun.

Bdsm, is here to stay for me, yet I think we can have fun, develop great relationships, by taking it easy, and having a great thing with ourselves first.

Everyone's experience will be different. In my experience, it's actually not that high. There are some pretty nice guys out there. Maybe I've just been lucky but I will take a stab at it and say about 40%.

It's honestly impossible for me to guess a percentage. The stories you hear from others might be folks who have shitty people-picking skills to begin with, so there is just too much room available for ambiguity. I've met my share over the years. Some great dominants, some clueless asshats, and pretty much everything in between. I'm the type that gives benefit of the doubt until someone proves their jackassery.

Status: offline 		I'm not certain of the percentages online. But I'd be pretty certain that they drop precipitously once you go into real life. Or maybe I've just gotten very fortunate in that the people I hang with, dom and sub, are the real deal. They are real people with real every day problems that range from car trouble to sick children, but I wouldn't describe any of them as scared, frustrated, or hiding behind a mask.

It isn't difficult to see the time wasters, so I don't get why everyone wants to protect us human beings and why they rant, when they could give some of the red flags that expose these time wasting, bugs.

There are some swift talkers and sometimes we can be fooled, but if we are fooled so much of the time that we need to worry about the percentages... we might need to look into the mirror and admit, the time waster is us, because we fail to see what is obvious, red flags and allow them to use us up.

I had done all of the things you mentioned before I was 22. And I was already three years into my 24/7 power exchange relationship.

If you are getting frustrated that these much younger women are 'full of shit' perhaps you should stop looking them up. Your profile and journal entry pretty much spells out that you are contacting much younger women. If life experience is important to you (understandably) perhaps you want to narrow your age gap. As a bonus, most scammer/paysite profiles use women under 28-ish, so you'll come across less full-of-shit profiles.

I dunno how many doms are full of shit. All the ones I know personally seem like pretty decent folks. Maybe I'm just good at choosing my friends. Naturally though, the internet will have a higher percentage of bullshitters, since you can never see if their actions match their words.

Status: offline 		If I understand your question correctly, you're asking what percentage of male self-identified Doms here are full of it, in my own subjective opinion.

I'm not sure that the Dom factor means anything. If you check out some of the posts in Ask a Mistress, they allude to male subs that are less than genuine.

It's everywhere. When Bobby Fisher won the world chess championship, thousands of new chess players flooded the field. They played for a few months, realized it was hard, and quit. I did amateur standup for a while, and we were plagued by idiots that had seen Def Comedy Jam, and thought all that was necessary to be funny was to say racist, misogynistic, nasty stuff and the audience would think they were hilarious. Those morons would poison audiences.

There are always people who think they can rely upon nonexistent natural talent, and avoid putting in effort. The lifestyle is no exception. They see a few porn movies and the man gets laid effortlessly with crude propositions. So they try it here.

As for a percentage of people that are full of shit? My belief is 100% of people are full of shit in some way or another. I just prefer the ones whose shit stinks less.
