This sounds like a nice experience but the difficulty I'm having is why any of this makes her any different from the many wonderful Dommes who go to play parties and play simply because they enjoy it, rather than to drum up business.

I have nothing against pro-Dommes at all, more power to them.

But this post kind of makes it seem like nobody but a pro-Domme could have done this, whereas to me spanking and switching are so utterly common in every party I've ever been to that I'm struggling to understand the purpose of this post. Is it simply to say pro-Dommes are okay because they're attractive or they spank your sub? Would they not be okay if they were a little heavier or older or less willing to engage in your play?

At a party I went to before Christmas, one of the regular Dommes is a beautiful lady who wore a heavy silk ballgown complete with underskirts. She is tall, blonde, slim, absolutely stunning. She is an expert with bullwhips and easily spends 75% of the party time treating others by playing with them, before disrobing and allowing a Domme to give her the submissive experience. My friend had never seen bullwhips used in real life and, towards the end of the party, we asked her to show him. She was gracious, willing, eager. She selected a submissive male admirer and then treated the whole club to a wonderful demo of her skill. All of us, including the sub, were blown away.

The fact is that a great many Dom/mes are tireless contributors to the community, who give freely of their time, skills and energy to ensure that everyone has a wonderful time. This is a great quality regardless of whether they are pro or not, attractive or not, and into spanking or not.

I have to agree with this statement. Many of them are counselors or contribute in other ways. We also have to remember, they cater to the porn-"educated" subs who have expectations of sexual entitlement that the rest of us Dommes don't put up with. In that regard they are offering a place for that type of man to go, so he's not bothering US. LOL

What if we're entirely happy with our kink as is? Personally I don't care to see other people's kinks. I'm entirely happy with what we have. Then again, my life doesn't revolve around kink or fetish. It revolves around him and his personality. If that makes me less enlightened, I'm perfectly fine with that.

It is why when I hear people put down pro dommes I cringe. Yes, there are some who are totally in it for the money, some who suck at it and some who who okay, but there also a lot who are into it in a lifestyle sense and bring to their sessions a lot of who they are, rather than acting it out, big difference and to be good and stay in business, presentation is critical:)

This could be said for every profession. It is an excellent point that I think often gets lost in emotion.

It's funny but nearly every Professional Domme I've ever chatted with here and other places has said she was actually a switch. Even the ones that say they are always dominant will eventually confide they like the man to be dominant in bed, or they like to Serve their man by having dinner ready for him, doing his laundry, etc. etc. Not criticizing, just pointing it out.

A lot of the clients of pro dommes are as you say, people with expactations of sexual entitlement, especially that the clientele of many of the dommes are alpha type men, well off, etc.....but pro dommes also can act as a gateway to lifestyle bd/sm, a lot of guys who think they have an attraction for this kind of thing (ie BD/SM), may be too shy to try and find lifestyle people into it, may not have a clue, and pro dommes can help them find themselves, happens more that you might think. Even with the heightened awareness of BD/SM and the internet, it still can be hard for someone to find someone to submit to or play with, going to a group or s/m club can be scary........
