From a male submissive perspective, I wonder what I should wear, when visiting a prospective Domme for service, but I don't wish to limit this question to only my service-oriented perspective .. so I ask, the audience, in general:

QUESTION:
What do Dominant men or women WANT their submissive counterparts to WEAR while performing submissive acts?

CAVEAT: I'm sure, as always, everyone is different - so I tried to include most options that *I* could think of, realizing that I might have missed your favorite since I was limited to the top 10 so I had to limit the choices. Feel free to ad lib YOUR favorite attire for your submissive while performing their duties.

Before anything else, I have to point this out. There is a HUGE difference to Me between "My submissive" and "visiting a prospective Domme for service".

I'm kind of practical. If somebody uses the word service, I expect a person to be wearing the clothing that is best for that service in mind. Are you going to be doing housework? If you are really going to clean, do you really want to ruin your leather over that? If you are coming over to do something like changing oil, why would I want you in dress clothes that will get ruined? That rope option isn't going to be a great one if you're doing lawn care.

So, until those points get cleared up, I'm reluctant to answer the poll.

Oh, if you really are talking about MY submissive, instead of just some perspective, I do love him naked. Unfortunately, I do still have windows and close proximity neighbors.

There tends to be a disconnect between what many submissive men consider service and what most everybody else considers service, so perhaps you should define what you mean by "service" and "submissive acts."

Policy change. It was back on one of those "make CM a better place" type deals. I believe Level made the suggestion to allow polls in the forum where the question was most applicable.

Status: offline 		What I'd want my submissive to wear completely depends on the tasks involved and I'd want him to be wearing attire appropriate to what he'll be doing. Going shopping w/ me, comfortable & clean casual. Dinner date with me(he can be inconspicuously submissive during a dinner date), comfortable dressy. Changing the oil in my car, in his grungy clothes. In "play" situations, nothing at all. See the differences?

If you're talking what should you wear when meeting a prospective Domme who isn't yours yet, I'd say wear what you'd wear to meet anyone for the first time that you're trying to impress. Myself, I like to see someone in comfortable & clean casual, but I usually do first meets over coffee.

This makes sense, so, I opened a separate thread on what Dominants prefer a submissive to DO.

Reading the responses above are enlightening - and I hope to learn from all of you - to better understand that which I am destined to serve.

Being embarrassingly new to this, I'm not sure WHAT Dommes want a submissive to DO (it could be different for every Domme) - so I'm hoping to get some direction in that other thread on what to do.

This one is about clothing while that's being done (whatever it may be)...

At home, inside - she wears high heels, ankle and wrist cuffs, working collar or slave collar, and earrings. Once a week or so, she spends the day in Kajira chains. At night, she takes off the shoes and I snap her wrists together and to the headboard, and sometimes also her feet to the footboard. I don't usually padlock her restraints to the headboard, I use a harness snap; that's because our morning routine has me waking up and unkooking her from the headboard; then I go back to sleep. The property tag and chain are silver, military dog tag style. Says, "Property of Kalon Eric". The beaded chain still looks military style but it is fancy double beaded so it looks more feminine.



A plain unlocked single black leather manacle just looks a lot like a wrist band. Unless you forget you are wearing all four and run to the corner grocery store to garb something you need to cook dinner. She likes wearing manacles because they remind her of her position and protocol. Actually, I like them for the same reason. The day time manacles are minimalistic w/o padlocks. We have 3 sets. The sleeping set, a cushy padded set for rough dungeon play and a pretty black and red locking set I had made. The locking set has additional velcro fasteners to hold them on while you set up the locks.

Sleeping chained isn't really comfortable. Some people like the feel of the raw cold steel chain on their ankle. However that makes samdarella uncomfortable. She has to work on her feet over the weekends on 14 hr shifts so I added a comfortable leather manacle with padlock closure.

So as far as the OP goes, these are some of the symbols of ownership I like my slave to wear when she is in service.

So long as they can efficiently/safely do the Task I'm happy...but having a male dressed as a sissydoll while he's outside hoeing weeds in My garden or snowblowing My yard is a real hoot.

As it pertains to being Indoors: Collared, Naked or mostly Naked, wearing a codpiece. Maybe a ruffled apron tied around his waist if he's doing the dishes.

Outdoors: Normal weather-appropriate outerwear (I don't have enough privacy for him to do otherwise.)

How to dress when meeting a Domme for the first time? The same as you would to impress any other woman, unless she makes a specific request which doesn't draw undue attention to yourself while out in public. When in doubt, wear a nice, clean, unwrinkled shirt w/sports jacket or a suit. Do not, under any circumstances, show up wearing a juvenile-looking baseball cap, especially if you're an older dude. They do it to hide their baldness 9 times out of 10.
