Status: offline 		No, I certainly am not doing what I want to do. I'm more of a hands on person, I like to move around.

First, I wanted to be an architect but was talked out of that, then heart surgeon and talked out of that. I was told I'd make a good lawyer, but I talked myself out of that. The final thing I wanted to be was a Special Agent with the FBI and I'm glad I didn't choose that.

Then I felt lost and inquired about going into the military. Took all the necessary tests...and was talked out of it.

Found a job immediately out of high school, moved out, continued to get an education for a degree I had no desire in, and still continue to do that job because I'm apparently good at it.

A few of my professors tried urging me towards the direction of becoming a writer, and I entertain that idea now and again. I have a lot to write but the problem is I have little desire to share it.

I have truly been asking myself what it is I want to be when I grow up, still to this day.

Air Force Fighter pilot, bad eyes, so no,
Mathematician/Physicist/Artist, my Renaissance period,

Actual favorite job,
Construction, Framing/Exterior Trim of custom homes
It's outdoors, with both mental and physical exercise and years later
you can drive by, see the big wheels in the yard and think
of the families that have lived and raised children and made a home
out of your piece of art.
A friend still lives in a house I built.

She has sacrificed sooooo much to be with Me through all the hardships (deployments, Me being gone when life crap came up etc.), that I am the one who is willing to sacrifice for Her. Status: offline 		When I was asked in high school what I wanted to be, I listed, in order, bush pilot in Alaska, police officer, or got into the service professionally. What I ended up with was: I became a Cat 2 P.O. (UT), good enough for court, correction, or constable, I took some flying lessons but never finished then, and joined the Reserves to see if I could hack the military.

After that, I bounced from trade to trade after failing to 'find' myself in any of my chosen fields. I drove trucks and vans, worked in the bars and clubs as a bouncer and bartender, became a machine operator (everything from junk mail to injection molding), and after I broke my back, I went and finished school for my BBA.

While I never considered it, over the years I started writing (and Malcolm, I have an entire series of stories based on the exact same predication as you described-weird, huh?). I've worked in construction now and then (roofing, site clean-up, erecting/taking down scaffolding, grunt work). I've sold everything from light bulbs on the phone to used cars, and I'm equally at home in an office setting, a job site, or behind the bar in establishments ranging from college meat markets to grungy corner taverns. I often describe myself as a 'jack of all trades, master of none', a label inconsistent with my handle, but I feel it describes me perfectly.

I once got a job by telling the recruiter, when he asked my what my skills description were, as "flexible". Semper Gumby is my personal motto. I'm currently on disability now, but still looking for my next gig, whenever it comes up.

I do the same, though not in those exact words. I usually say I'm good at a lot but great at none.
Part of my problem has always been that I have such a wide range of interests, I can never settle down and choose just one to become great at.

I wanted to be a Marine Biologist and actually worked in that field some.

Here's the list as much as I can remember in somewhat of an order.

Worked at a dive shop
Lawn mower
Gator/caiman/croc and snake wrangler
Bicycle wheel builder/warehouse worker
Marine mammal necropsist
Tour guide in the everglades area
Construction worker (shovel ape to lineman to foreman)
Commercial diver
Tropical fish farmer
Marine scientist again (seagrass mitigation)
HS science teacher and wrestling/football coach
Microscopist/chief analyst (light, polarized light and electron)
Real estate broker
Industrial chemist and becoming a good forklift driver.

No doubt, I'll add a few more things to the list before I take the big sleep if an explosion at work doesn't get me.

How can it be accurate unless You fix the color . I am just saying

ETA the color is 006633 lol

But to make this list more accurate, here goes:

Janitor (work program for high school kids during the summer, sucked but had $$ in pocket which didn't)
Warehouse worker/forklift operator/shipping receiving clerk
Home construction (can build a house from foundation to roof, all I do not know is plumbing and electrical(codes change way to often))
Stone setter (If you ever go to Ellis Island, the granite floors in the refurb was Me as foreman, and I also set a few)
Cabinet/counter-top maker/installer
And of course SFC in the US Army

Have you done much writing in the past?
If you haven't really worked out a system of writing yet, I'd strongly suggest having a look at Randy Ingermanson's website. Apart from being co-author of Writing Fiction for Dummies, he is also sometimes referred to as the "Snowflake Guy", after a way of structuring a storyline which he developed called, the snowflake method.

I like the snowflake method... If your story don't work at first, it soon will after you ram it thru that... well I've gotten good results with it anyway.

Status: offline 		A satellite controller basically is in charge of the payload (users) on the satellite. We have to assist in trouble shooting links, as well as making sure the users are in the proper frequency, modulation and power. We also program the satellite with any new and removal of old links.
