Blackmore's Night... A big change from Deep Purple and the perennial "Smoke on the Water" to doing renfaire music. But, dang, when you listen to "Possum goes to Prague" you see Richie Blackmore demonstrate why he is still one of the best guitarists in existence.

I know when my girls were teenagers they got frustrated. They would play a "new" song for me and there I would go and drag out the original.

Not so much their renfaire music but their covers on some Dylan, and others from the sixties and seventies. "The Times They are a changin" played on medieval instruments is unique to say the least.

Off topic, I just want to say that I know I'm getting hungry. I just read the title of this as "I know I'm out of lunch".

Lunch today is grilled chicken wraps with your choice of lettuce, fresh green house spinach leaves, sliced red onions, shredded chedder cheese mild or sharp. Dressings are low calorie Ranch, Russian, or honey mustard.

Drink choices are bottled water, green tea with honey, or a chinese herbal tea of your choice.

Damn, if only I lived closer! I'd certainly take you up on that.

FR~

Apart from the obvious Deep Purple and the likes of Floyd etc, my musical taste is very limited.
Strictly 1960-late '70's, the odd '80's single, and that's about it.
To me, those of Metalica ilk are wannabe rock bands - not a patch on the originals and not worth listening to.
I hate anything before about 1958 and certainly anything "Rock'n'Roll".
I can probably pick less than a dozen song/instrumental singles outside of that range that I might tolerate but the rest is trash to my ears.

Ummmm....... who the fuck are the Jonus Brothers and Evansomething??
Neva heard of them.

@jlf: love the lunch. Change the chicken for a decent steak, skip the wrap (put it on a plate), replace the rabit food with nice chestnut mushrooms sauted in butter and a fried egg. As for drinks - a decent cup of tea (you guys over there need to learn how to make decent tea).

All Blackmore's night changed was finding that the reverb knob goes to 11 as well.
