That's how I read it also. Seems to be a lot of reading comprehension problems on the forums lately, you don't suppose it has more to do with the messenger than the message, do you?

Nooooooo! For shame!

Guys, guys, guys! if the IRS, NSA, and Benghazi scandals taught us nothing, they taught us that the guy at the top is not responsible for what his minions do (or fail to do).

Christie's golden, here (using PPL logic).

Seriously, if Christie would just call a press conference to "apologize" and explain that he has as much to do with this as the Embarrassment-In-Chief had to do with the IRS scandal, how could the PPLs argue with that?

To an extent this is true....this is why SoS Clinton took responsibility ( her words) and expressed her regrets about losing a close colleague.

But is wasn`t like Hillary was involved in attacking our consulate compound, where as Christie was involved, personally, in the bridge attack.

There`s no evidence linking the WH with the Ohio office who <aghast> sent out an additional (singular, one) letter to the POS tea-baggers.

See...in the real universe that most normal, thinking folks operate, facts...evidence to support those facts and actually what happened is what forms the record and history.

Though faux-news makes a valiant attempt, we`re not in Orwell`s "write your history"..... yet.

The public....with it`s own free will and freedom of choice, will decide what informs them and sunlight, the truth and full discloser will be their bias.

The nsa thing is perfect and not b/c it`s a bush program that geopee signed off on....

The beauty part about the nsa-whatever is the only mother fuckers who are afraid and pissed are terrorists and lunatic fringe tea-bagger republicans ......

DOUBLE WIN!

At this point, the olny fools who`re still trying to link this fat ass`s political retribution/cover-up with our tragic lose of ambassador Stevens..... are the desperate and deluded.

Cons should be weary of linking their scandals to the Benghazi attacks......Unlike Bridgegate, democrats have welcomed investigations and fact-finding......Not a single call not to....on the nsa thing, the irs non-thing,fast and furious, Benghazi because we`re honest and don`t have double standards.

If there was evidence of malicious conduct on the part of the WH(like w/ Christie)....normal....regular folks....moderates and progressives would believe it.

But there isn`t evidence like that......so the lunatic right making up bullshit stories ala-1984 style and hoping to create a phony scandle

I live in NJ and I can tell you the Christie has spent his entire tenure telling political opponents "Do it my way or else." Somebody finally challenged him on the "or else" and crippling a town was the result. If you believe that he didn't know about it, you are being excruciatingly naive.

I read a news story while in Lambertville/New Hope late last summer about a Hunterdon Co. prosecutor (a republican) who was sacked after getting indictments on some Christie-cronies who were also Hunterdon Co. sheriffs.... mostly for political intimidations and abuse of power.

The headline read: "Christie will 'have this whole thing thrown out"

I thought,if this becomes part of the election two months away, Christie could well lose .

But I never heard a word.

Just a week ago, this OLD but true story, finally hit the New York media market.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2539440/EXCLUSIVE-Prosecutor-sacked-bringing-case-against-Christie-cronies-reveals-ordeal-hands-New-Jersey-Governors-mafia.html

When the charges became public, an indicted undersheriff, Michael Russo, allegedly told an aide that Christie will 'have this whole thing thrown out', according to The Hunterdon County Democrat. Another Sheriff's Officer Joseph Falat Jr, was also accused.

The day a judge unsealed the indictments, Dermot O'Grady, Christie's deputy attorney general, arrived suddenly to take over the prosecutor's office personally.
Barlyn was shown the door. He was stripped of his job and ushered out of the courthouse by armed guards.

Check the updates, Lucy. The New York Times is figuring out they got caught with their pants down, and backing down the rhetoric.

They are also, sadly for that once fine institution, just making the changes to the online story, without running it as correction. Precisely the sort of intellectual honesty to be expected from the left, and their little cheerleaders.

We`re still waiting for the rightist`s mea copa for ABC`s 60 min.s lie-fest....with that POS-brit who claimed to be at the compound but wasn`t.....

Fair is fair ,yes?

And fair being fair, will Christie go under oath and straighten out...under oath... and explain why he changed his story weeks after the " I apologize---they did it" press conference...?

Hillary went under oath....yes? Fair is fair...yes? Nothing damming to Hillary in the official Benghazi Senate Report...Fux-news is ignoring it. I bet you`re buddy Christie resigns before submitting to a hearing under oath....

There`s a cover up too.....Repugicans have been promising for months to deliver evidence of a cover of Benghazi.......and are still playing make pretend (at this point, circle jerking each other).

But we don`t have to play make pretend with Christie.....there`s actual evidence....

And with Christie as well with your favorite president tricky dick,it`s the cover up that fucks a crooked politician in the ass.....

With your Christie.....no one needs to play make pretend about what happened or who`s to blame.......He`s doing everything for us....not the NY Times.

Happy to share. The left leaning media are determined to make this a ginormous scandal. They would like to give Gov. Christie the full Zimmerman treatment. Here is the Friday press release they can get a weekend of buzz about (and here you are providing it to our little corner of the interwebs), and then let drop when it falls apart.

A lawyer came out with a press release, and the NYT came in their pants. Perhaps it suited your prejudices, perhaps you recall the days when seeing something in the New York Times meant something. They already rewrote the lead.

I think this whole affair is going to blow up in the faces of the people pushing it, even if it should ultimately damage Christie as a potential 2016 candidate. The double standard is too blatant.

Liberals aren't good with grasping the law of unintended consequences, Lucy. What they need more than anything else, in order to advance the role of institutions in people's lives, is for people to have faith in those institutions. This just diminishes such faith.

Upon leaving NJ, Chris Christie thanks Obama for the lesson in Chicago politics.

The letter marked the first signal that Mr. Christie may have been aware of the closings, something he repeatedly denied during thenews conference.

The thing that Christie just changed his official story over.....

Being involved.

He has as much authority to illegally obstruct the busiest road way/bridge in the world, as I do.

At this point it`s a what did he know and when did he know it.

All of a sudden, the ex-buddy who ratted on Chris and the libawool media are big bad men now and are to blame for Christie`s woes......according to Christie/Giuliani smashmouth lawyer Randy Mastro

Meh....standard operating procedure......Rapist`s lawyers savage rape victims....neighborhood watch killer`s lawyers savage dead victims....
