Oh please. Weather doesn't stop at the border. All the nasty wither weather that southern Canada experiences, the northern U.S. does as well and Alaskans are as used to artic conditions as any northern Canadian is.
Also, we will have much shorter supply line which is good because many of those poor people have never tasted a decent chicken wing and we will need to airlift supplies quickly.

So you're saying the army that thought using pigeons to guide missiles or wiring a cat for sound as an espionage device was a good idea would be competent to prepare for a nasty winter before it happened?

As for your question the answer is yes. This is because we live in Winter. Right now it is thirty-eight degrees out and I have my window open. Do you know why I have my window open?
Because thirty-eight degrees is feels pretty fucking nice right now. Why does thirty-eight degrees feel pretty fucking nice? It's a relative thing. When you've been living for a while with temps in the teens and single digits, and with wind chills in the negative twenties,
thirty-eight degrees just feels fucking nice. Nice enough at least to open the windows and air the place out a little.
