I would donate a goat to Oxfam in her name. We had goats when I was growing up, so I am partial to them. You can also give sheep, chickens, bees, cows, and/or manure.

I was charmed and very touched to read that several subs living alas far, far away and therefore beyond my circle had given to several charities I had named including disaster relief, men's health and BecauseIAmAGirl.
In Canada, Plan also gives animals and plants, so I loved that some girls received baby chicks and bees :-)
