Okay, the Mods keep poking a twig at the subject, and I'm calling for an out right coup! Grab your big stick and let's [sm=beatdeadhorse.gif] beat the hell out of it! CM is pretty wonderful. The community, when tight and not riddled with petty fiefdoms is freaking amazing. However, I would like to see things a little more personal and user friendly. I know I am not an island in this, so I'd like some input from all of you. Chia-pet, here we go! Top and bottom designations, pretty please (how can anyone resist a Tyrant saying pretty please?) C/D and Trans color designation, green or sumthin... Or two tanks sword fighting next to the name. Leave the "Ask's" alone, add a C/D/T ask, and a T/b ask. Code the threads so that only the OP is visible until you reply to the OP, then you'll have access to the entire thread. Jus sayin Exiled P.S. You should probably go ahead and put in the TOS that all the /s's are owned by Exiled Industries Inc. and by joining CM as an /s you wave all rights, becoming property.... Blah blah blah, you know the drill... And yes, there will be a drill... 220v 190amp if my demands are not met.

I never fuck with the formula but an "ask a poly group" section would be cool. Can't remember who said that first but they had a good idea.

"Top" and "bottom" designations would be great! Forget the color coding; just the ability for people to choose those designations ... Where the real problem comes in is with education. I've told this story before, but back when you could make private rooms on Yahoo chat, I had a room that was lifestyle based and I saw this exchange with my own eyes: quote: Female submissive: Hi. I'm all about the "T/b" designations. It would save me so much hassle trying to explain that "I'm not a 'real' slave, but I'm still into BDSM, and I'm allowed to be here" conversation I have had entirely too many times.

Agree with most except the "cant see the thread until you reply" i cannot count how many times what i was thinking was already posted, or there was a good reply that altered what I was thinking.

Since the inception of CM most threads spiral into the bowls of hell... Which used to be aptly named "Polls & Random Stupidity", due to the fact the OP would become overshadowed by another post. The nature of the OP would be lost in some presumptuous pissyness and everyone would began formulating replays based on a skewed view of the OP. More often than not, the many replies would be read, amalgamated into something surreal, and the thread would die... Thankfully. I don't think we need an Ask a Poly, there already is a Polyamorous Lifestyles forum. Unless you just think the name ought to be changed.

If they ever do lock a thread until posting, now I know what to do. I can understand why it would be a good idea to lock it. The chances of getting sincere replies that are not influenced by the ideas of others may decrease. However, I can see better reasons why not to. It may reduce the quantity, and possibly quality, of new posters. I was a lurker for some time, glad I was. Had I not been able to observe first, I would never have started posting. Like Aries, I often find myself replying to other replies in the thread. And, like Kysissy stated, there will probably be many duplicate thoughts. Particularly in regards to the OP's spelling, fantasy-driven drivel, or what a douchecanoe they sound like. I'd really prefer to not see that happen. I do really like smileforme50's suggestion.
