Gen:reply...

One can point out till they are blue in the face that the President`s number of EOs are far fewer than shrub`s......

But the point....with these cry-babies, is NEVER the point.....

For the right....all intellectual machinations start with and end with, complete naked hypocrisy.... Hypocrisy and conspiracy-theory are the prerequisite building blocks for the alternate reality narrative.I mean...what better way to get a rise out of folks than to cut embassy security and then with a straight face....blame democrats when it causes a tragedy.

One has to go back to president McKinley to find as few as president Obama.Ford`s short term doesn`t count.

Now back to the legitimacy of EOs......or better for our argument, the necessity of them in these times.

I liken the destruction/harm the gop is putting us through, to some POS trying to mess with a lifeguard busy rescuing people from drowning.....

They`re throwing rocks.dunking the victim and trying to interfere.......

Someone doing that in real life would get themselves knocked out or shot.....

With this issue......EOs are enough to deal with the rock throwers...

Necessity. Lovely word.

Yes, the issues are irrelevant. It's all about identity politics. Fox News could film Obama giving out Thanksgiving turkeys and convey the feel he was distributing live hand grenades about to go off.

What gets me the most is how consistently the right gets worked up over nothing during the Clinton (too much peace and prosperity all) and Obama Years (too much stability and sanity.)

Don't forget the right spent over $70M to fund Ken Starr.

------

Pulled this from the NYT comments:

The Obama as "lawless" meme has already gotten completely out of hand. Not only is it blatantly false but it is the type of characterization that can easily be seen by many on the far right fringe as a reason for violent reaction.

At a town hall meeting in Oklahoma conducted by Republican Rep. Jim Bridenstine, a woman stated that President Obama "should be executed as an enemy combatant" and that he is a "criminal."

In his reply to this woman, Bridenstine reinforced her insanity by saying "everybody knows the lawlessness of this president." Unbelievable.

It's the rare Republican (McCain) who takes a microphone away from a Town Hall participant to explain, "No Ma'am, Obama is not a Muslim."

Imagine living in a world of fictional grief (Clinton-Obama) and fictional prosperity (GWB 2000-08.)

The vehemence with which the right hates these two men has always baffled me. What harm has either done to anyone?

I'm guessing someone got to spend a few hours discussing the finer details of federal law with the Secret Service.

Rep Bridenstine is indeed guilty of hyperbole.

It is not, unfortunately, illegal for 0bama0 to refuse to enforce federal law.

Just dishonest and faintly, (figuratively)... treasonous.

It's difficult to imagine that someone not in need of institutionalized care can actually believe that in the USA of 2014.

Deferred action after the Republican House filibustered the THE DREAM ACT was one of the most human actions an American President has ever undertaken. Cheers me up every time I think about it.

The Republican version of it is declawing the EPA from environmental protections and neutering the FDIC and SEC from regulating Wall Street.

Republicans also stonewalled the appointments Obama tried to make to Federal Agencies.

Aside from repealing the ACA, Republicans have also tried to neuter the Consumer Protection Division.

I've never understood running on an anti-government platform to actually serve in Government with the idea of dismantling it. IT is so costly to the American public, and it is a kind of underhanded GOV'T Shutdown.

Remember the GOV Shutdown: closing the federal government while paying all the employees to stay at home? Who thought that up?

No, the lunatic right just like to try to co-opt the founding fathers whenever possible.
The sane right, and the left have only themselves to blame for letting the coalition of libertarians, neocons, religious fundamentalists and other mouthbreathers who make up the Republican base these days get away with that on a regular basis.

That you can even remotely think this is so is so ridiculous it is hard to begin to imagine how to bring you back to reality.

Have you read any Jefferson? Paine? Adams?

Nope, the dance of truth. You'll never learn the steps.
