Or the Post simply made the whole thing up to attack a school they don't like.

Every version of it online says that the Post exposed this earlier this month.

Really? Earlier when? When did they expose it? Because from what I can tell, "earlier this month" to the post means yesterday at best.

Rather an odd thing to say, yes indeed. And no citations. No references.

I'm on the skeptical bandwagon too, that's for sure.

You're on a bandwagon for sure, but it isn't the one think. The article quoted was published February 23, and the exposé referred to was published February 9, which to all but a few special minds would qualify as earlier this month, and both were linked in the OP.

K.

Damn you're right. I ran a search and couldn't find anything other than copies of the article. I truly don't understand why that didn't come up.

wheels just came off my bandwagon

PFH.................did you ever take latin or religious instruction at school ??? THEY are the most boring things I ever did apart from watching paint dry. Thank the gods I got thrown out of both classes and was made to sit and read as a punishment. Hence, I am very well read but my latin consists of my family's motto "Spectemur Agendo" and my religious knowledge consists of knowing not to argue with the fools because their minds are made up and they don't need to be confused with facts.
Oh yes PFH, I am an ex-pom and went to school in Middlesex, which is no reflection on my sexuality I hope *smile*.

I took two years of Latin. Which is to say I took two years of advanced English. Our first year teacher was a mean il-tempered harpy. We were happy as hell to see her gone.

Latin is one of the most boring languages to learn. But the history of Rome can be very interesting.

Our latin teacher was as insipid as over-boiled cabbage and had the personality of a dead jellyfish. she took us for both Latin and R.I......It was one of the best of my schooldays (of which there were few), the day she told me to leave her classes and she didn't want to see me again. I believe a number of the other kids in that class began acting up then but it never worked for anybody else.
