Standing up for what you believe is in the best interest of the country certainly is patriotic. That there are differences of opinion doesn't mean only one side is patriotic and the other isn't. You don't have to agree with something for it to be patriotic. Good God, you're not even an American, so your opinion on what is/isn't good for America means even less. It isn't up to you. What goes on in America is for Americans to decide. You get to have your opinions, and you get to voice them, but America will still be defined by Americans (please note that the use of the term "Americans" refers to citizens of the United States of America, and not the peoples of the North and South American continents, lest anyone decide to bring forth that question). That's not even saying your opinion is right or wrong. It doesn't even matter if your opinion is right or wrong. To claim that multiple attempts to repeal Obamacare isn't patriotic simply shows that you disagree with the intent of repealing Obamacare. Those that agree with repealing Obamacare will view it differently. When those on left didn't want to go to war, the right quickly called them traitors just as Germans were called traitors when they didn't fall in line with Hitler. Those that were true American patriots on the right reminded that without opposition, you have no republic, they were called RINOs either republican or right...in name only. The right today, simply...has no clothes. I am a conservative independent born into a repub family and I will never, ever vote for a repub again...for any office.

I suppose even if it were twice that amount one cannot put a price on doing what is right. Doing what is wrong costs way too much. See the ACA. The cost of that in terms of lost health care, lost insurance policies and lost trust in our Executive Branch because he is a documented liar is way more than the costs you offer, I would think. What percentage of the population that wants the ACA removed, have actually read through it? I'm sure nobody can answer that question. But does that matter when we can see the affects in real terms without reading it? Besides, it was not read before being voted on originally and has changed since being written so one can forgive the few who foolishly want to read it now and expect to understand it in it's full glory, every word plus the ancillary regulations derived in some Washington back office to clarify the law and make it work or not work as the case may be. So, I suppose while one can certainly be concerned about the cost of voting to do what some Americans, who knows, maybe most now, believe is correct, one must overwhelmingly consider this is a natural part of the way our Government works, with dissention being how the Country came about with the "Repeal of the Monarchy in 1776" costing a great deal in any measurement while being the correct thing to do, to descent and change for the better and repeal Government control of our lives. So in that spirit, join me in applauding the way the GOP still attempts to do what it thinks is right even if you should disagree with their goal, because what they do is so very American, so very patriotic even if they are wrong.

Considering that you've never had a correct opinion that is probably a good thing I guess (you made that way too easy). I will point out that the right wingers here and else where called me and others who objected to the mass arrests of Muslims after 9/11, the torture of prisoners and all the rest of the total disregard for the ideals of this nation under W traitors of every sort and kind. Now of course the same right wingers insist on the nonexistent "right" to threaten the life of the President and his family as a form of "patriotic protest."

I'm a Conservative Libertarian born into a Republican family and I will continue to vote for who I think is the best candidate, regardless of political party. Neither party will refuse to stoop to name calling. Both will use the "patriotic" label as will suit them best. As long as they truly believe what they are doing is in the best interest of the country, they are doing their "patriotic duty."

I read this and think, wow if that's true then he is right and it is a terrible waste of money. What percentage of the population that wants the ACA removed, have actually read through it? not even 1%. And then I read this and think there is no way in hell he could possibly have any idea of how many people have read it, yet he says this with the same certainty that he used in the first line. So now I have to wonder if the first parts true since you obviously don't have a problem saying things are fact when you have no idea if they are or not. And then you wonder why there is silence and no one is getting all worked up over your 'facts'?
