Why not ask the man?

Rule, doesn't let little things like reality get in the way of his theories.

So. If this scenario is what might have happened, how might they get caught? What are the odds that this plane will stay missing, and the mystery never solved?

They might never be caught. The plane is likely to never be found.

The only thing to do is to follow the money trails - if there are any.

The passengers might still turn up alive after the elapse of some months or years.

Blonderfluff -> RE: Where IS that plane? (3/18/2014 1:29:27 PM)

That is a horrifying thought. I hope you are ...less right.

So. If they "stole" the plane, and the purpose was to re-sell it , that theory does not bode well for the passengers.

And. Who would the buyers of the plane possibly be?'

The purpose may not be to re-sell it. It might be that they're keeping it for their own future use. But, in either case that means the passengers are expendable.

calamitysandra -> RE: Where IS that plane? (3/18/2014 2:00:28 PM)

How about this theory?

kiwisub12 -> RE: Where IS that plane? (3/18/2014 5:40:09 PM)

That's a really cool theory, and in line with the axiom in medicine to look for a horse when you hear hoofbeats before zebras.

and if it was a conspiracy I would look for airplane parts on ebay............

I haven't really been following this story, but this theory sounds most likely in my mind.

One problem, the story states ACARS stopped functioning, yet it was transmitting data for four hours after the aircraft went dark.

Also he stated the plane made a left turn. At the time of the course change, it was military radar painting the aircraft, there is really no way to know which way a plane is turning till after the new heading, in this case to the southwest, which indicates it basically turned back on its previous track.

mummyman321 -> RE: Where IS that plane? (3/18/2014 9:24:22 PM)

I am sure they are checking this and it will take time but I am curious as to were any cell phone pings picked up. Almost all cell phones today have GPS chips and also if the cell phone is on it will ping the closest tower. If the plane did turn left and come back across land before going to the Indian ocean, then there should be some pings from cell phone. I know people are supposed to turn their cell phones off for the flights. But I have made many many trips on the 777. Some people always leave their cell phones on. So I am really curious if they have checked all the cell phones numbers for that data.

I would bet anything that some government has footage of what happened to the plane but won't come forward because they probably got it by spying on other countries. Not to go all conspiracy theorist but I'm pretty sure the US govt along with dozens of others are illegally spying on each other with drones or satellites. So I bet someone government picked up something but if they come forward they'd have to admit to illegally spying on another country. And that sure ain't happening.

It seems to be west of Perth.

Greta75 -> RE: Where IS that plane? (3/25/2014 8:25:43 AM)

The Malaysian government concluded by some British data that the plane has crashed into the Indian Ocean and all passengers are dead, and on top of that, they informed the families of the deceased of their final conclusion by text messages!

Absolutely disgusting! And I think it's absolutely BS to conclude without proof that the plane has crashed. Not one debris is found yet!

needlesandpins -> RE: Where IS that plane? (3/25/2014 9:02:53 AM)

I think this is bollocks, and i'll bet that the first thing the families will do if it comes to light that this is not the case if sue the airline. although they may do this anyway for shear lack of consideration. seriously, by text message? what sort of a way is that to tell any one that their family member is dead, let alone without absolute proof?

weird.

needles

DaddySatyr -> RE: Where IS that plane? (3/25/2014 11:05:02 PM)

In fairness to Malaysian Airline, I saw a report that said that there was a frowny face on the end of the text. :(

I don't have the source for this theory, it's circulating around and it's written in Mandarin, so I'll just explain in English. But I believe China Folks are so agitated because they believe in this theory. I am not claiming it's true, but it's one of the interesting theories out there, what we know for sure now is that, the pilot had a personal flight stimulator practicing landing areas around the Indian Ocean, and practicing flying at very low and very high attitudes, he also deleted stuffs which now they are trying to retrieve, and if there is anything even Anwar is not denying is that, his an Anwar supporter.

The plane was hijack by the pilot, who is an Anwar supporter and Anwar knows him personally (this is proven and Anwar admits it), because he wanted the government to free Anwar who was yet again wrongly thrown into jail for sodomy charges.

The Malaysian government upon receiving the pilot demands, went through 5 hours of negotiation but did not agree on anything. The pilot waited till fuel ran out and then crashed the plane in the Indian Ocean.

The Malaysian government knew where the plane was all along, but upon knowing the fuel ran out, they decided to make it a regular aviation accident, to avoid pressure from humanitarian organization and other political powers from knowing the demands.

The plane turned back towards Malaysia because of hijack demands towards the Malaysian government. The pilot had promised to land the plane safely and claim technical fault if Anwar was released, or else they will simply crash the plane.

The plane kept flying because they were waiting for government reply.

The Malaysian government only reported the missing plane after 5 hours because they were busy negotiating with the hijackers. They hope to convince the hijackers for unconditional release of the passengers. The plane was hovering near Malaysia, their demands are domestic so there is no need to fly to another country until finally disappearing from the radar.

Malaysia doesn't want more bad press on themselves by admitting they refused to give in to the pilot's demands and in that caused the crash.

USA already knew the truth. Malaysian government tried to disguised it into an ordinary aviation mishap and hope the plane debris will never be found , they hope to compensate the victim family and close the case . But Boeing was unwilling to take the blame , so Boeing and the US government showed proof that the plane kept flying 5hrs after the transponder was switched off. Facing hard evidence PM Najib had no choice but to admit its a hijack. (I remembered this part where PM Najib made a public announcement that the data of the plane caught by US Satellite who continued flying is not true, then had to re-tract his statement. But thanks to his falsehood, he wasted other country's precious resources scouting South China Seas for nothing.)

The truth is US knew all these truth , including the where the plane final destination was, but US only released information to their advantage and use this to blackmail the Malaysian government for political gains.

Anyway, if this was true, then it is an act of terrorism.

If you'd' grown up under the Chinese government, you'd find each and every conspiracy theory believable. Specially the contradictory ones.

How is this contradictory? At least one thing that is generally agreed now is, hijack or suicide is the most plausible angle right now, but most people don't understand why hijack had no demands if it was hijack. This theory combines both. Sequence of events matches their findings. Anyway, pilot's family under interrogation now. They are aiming the pilot, I'm sure for good reason. There is another article claiming the pilot was also going through a divorce with his wife and was an emotional wreck before he flew off by a close friend of his. We'll just wait and see what else come out.
