Hi there everyone. Ok so I'm totally new to this whole lifestyle and I'm not even sure if I'm considered either a dom or a sub but I'm willing to try them both out just to set my preference. I'm thankful for you guys for letting me part of this family. Any tips?

Hi welcome to the discussion forum. You will find plenty of discussions that pertain to some of your questions. As for tips, you should probably join a local group in your community, attend a munch, and do some reading. Also hang out with us. Welcome again.

I'm not sure my community has such a thing. And I'm assuming a munch is a get together? Almost like group meeting? And thanks tiemeinknotss

You are correct. A munch is a get together, usually in a restaurant. It's a social thing and not for playtime. If you Google Santa Barbara and the word munch you will find that not only does Santa Barbara have a munch, it also appears to have a venue.

Your local community does have a munch I'm sure. We even have one in my little town here in Indiana.

It's the best way to meet people in the lifestyle

MY favorite BDSM book Is called Different Loving. It gets into a lot of things you will find confusing at first, and gives you several takes on for instance, what it means to be a dom or a sub. You can find it used on Amazon for cheap.

There's lots to learn here too of course. Once you've mastered the clunky search feature you will be able to pull up past threads on most any topic.

And please feel free to jump into our discussions or ask questions where when you need to.
