I have seen both slaves saying they want to be owned but then backing out when an offer comes through and I have heard of others saying the Dominants just want to own the submissives and do not want to be friends nor respect the fact they are already owned. To me this is a matter of plain manners and reading your/their profile or email and saying is that what I really want to say and all I want to say or do I want to say more. A profile that says I want to be owned and that is it, is saying the first person who comes along and says they want to own them, they will go with whilc in reality the submissive has age ranges or locations of the country where they want to stay. And a Dominant should always be respectful of a submissive that already has a Dominant. The respect is being given to the Dominant as much or more than the submissive. What does everyone else think?

I suppose more specific details in a profile are always helpful. It may simply not occur to someone to specify 'oh, and I do not wish to relocate' or 'I am not desperate enough to accept a collar from the first person to approach me'. Of course the latter really should be a reasonable assumption on the part of most dominants. From watching the Doms on here for a while now, I gather that most of them want a strong and intelligent woman. A female who will grovel for the first man to approach her isn't thinking very thoroughly about her situation, is she? So most Doms probably wouldn't assume a submissive will respond to them that way. Still... being specific about your wants and expectations in your profile most likely is an excellent idea. That way it's clearly stated and no one has to guess. zuma

If I am to understand you correctly you are noting that certain submissives do not put a basic description on their profile of what they are looking for, so because they haven't specified what their desires are then they should have no choice but to go with the first dom that emails them? Or are you saying that a submissive that doesn't specify shouldn't complain when dominants they are not interested in contact them?

I would have to agree with profiles on this site. You find people both Dominants and submissives that say one thing. Then you end up finding out something completely different. I have a tendency to stay away from collarme for a while as I find that I do not meet submissives that are serious or able to respond to emails. I also see several Dominants on here trying to go after any slave or submissive no matter if they are owned or not. To me this should not be done unless the Master/Mistress is letting them look for a new owner before they let the slave go. If this is the case then it should be stated in the profile. I also find that emails will go unanswered. I know that I take the time to write the email and feel that it deserves a response even if there is no interest. If there isn’t an interest is should be stated in a return email. I consider it rude to not return an email and I always make sure that I return any emails that I receive.

I am with zuma in expecting a sub/slave to have character and personality -- and to show it. But in general I must say (and this is one my greatest pet peeves) that anyone who doesn't put so much as one word in their profile is, well, an arrogant asshole!!! Do they friggin' expect us to be their bloody freaking mind reader??!?? How do they expect any response at all??!?! I can understand no photo due to need for discretion -- but if you can't write a paragraph about yourself and your wants/needs/desires you are either too lazy or too fucking stupid to live, or both... And I say that with absolutely no respect due whatsoever, lol!!!

I'm still getting e-mails from dominants who want to have a relationship with me. It says in my profile that i'm owned. What's the point of putting things there if no one is going to read it?

Sadly there are far too many players on this site. In the last few weeks I have exchanged messages with a few, two sent photos that were way underage and other sent messages asking for money for a ticket or saying they have no money to relocate even tough the profile says willing to relocate. I have also from some of the same found the same photo on at least three different profiles. I for one sure wish there was a place on this site or a off site place to post the names of underage and ones using others photos and asking for money. I am very sure if the person is real it will take more than few messages to talk of moving in. Sure sends a RED flag up to me. I would think who is screening the photos on this site would at least be awake enough to see they are the same. Also if you have access to a tracing program well they come back to the same IP address. I for one wonder who is real and who is not anymore. To me this life is built on the basis or truth and honesty but sadly that seems to be lacking these days

I would agree litleone that there are alot of people out there that don't read. However, there are also people that do read though your profile to find out information about you. I know I do not reply to a profile if it does not have anything written. There is a point though that if they still email even if it says not to that they are not worth reading or responding to. In that case it was rude for them to write in the first place.

What I want to know is how you passed the word along to all the other subs/slaves that you got an unsolicited ownership solicitation message. That has shut them all down and they don't even send replies anymore. Where is this underground railroad you all use to communicate and manipulate the sub/slave populus of collarme with? OMG is it wired iPods or what??? God ya'll are a bunch of devious little angels aren't you!

I usually respond to those types of e-mails asking the sender to read my profile; or a gracious 'no thanks, i'm already owned'. I rarely automatically delete the message. The only time i do delete is when the message is a one-liner. I figure if they didn't take the time to write something more thought out than one line, then they don't get a well thought out response from me.

my profile has my picture but says nothing. there used to be text there that said everything i thought someone would need to know about me. it was taken down for being offensive LOL i haven't felt the need to write a new one since then. my name gives you the gist of who i am, my photo will give you a basic idea if you find me attractive, and the rest can be discussed later. if a person who looks at my profile thinks "what a lazy, braindead, arrogant bitch," they will quickly click me out and move on. i'm not so sure i would want to be with a person who has such a strong reaction to profiles on a free online bdsm site. (edited for a typo)

At the same time pissdoll anyone that looks at your profile has to guess at what you want. Are you looking for a Master/Mistress. Willing to relocate. What type of experence do you have. All this is good information to list even something that says looking is better then nothing possed at all.

Perhaps pissdoll thinks it should be as it is in real life, if someone sees you and you look interestimg then why not strike up a conversation? In some ways it is like people expect interacting on the internet to be more courteous and risk free than the real world... in the real world we take risks when we express attraction to someone, why should it be any different here?

The large difference there is if you see someone attractive across the room you know they are truly there. Where online anyone can post a picture of anyone in a minute or two and could have 100s of profiles out there just so they can collect other pictures. Even one work such as looking, friends only, taken, waiting, or anything else that shows they are checking the profile and actually took a little time and thought into putting the profile up.

No matter what site you are on....someone somewhere is lying about themselves. Its the facts of the internet. Some dont know what they want yet or are scared when it comes right down to it to say what they want for fear of being critisized. I for one have had fantastic results with CM. Yes there are some that never write back or whatever...but thats life.

Then if you do not want to take the risk of a few lines written into cyberspace to find out if there is a real person connected to the profile the loss maybe yours if you found the pic attractive. To be honest if I just posted a blank profile my mailbox would overflow. I know this because you have to wait for approval before your profile is accepted, and people emailed me without a word about me on my profile. There are more male doms in the lifestyle than female subs, if the female sub has enough success not posting a word about herself thereby making the dominant find out about her the hard way I see no problem with it... and yes many submissives like being courted, this one expects to be courted before she submits....
