You know the type.... They have Goddess "I'm self important" in their nick. I've always wondered are these ppl that insecure that they feel the need to "self inflate" their egos? I've always been of the mindset if you have to automatically ask for "respect" Lord whatever <insert honorific here> You are prolly not deserving of it.

Interested in your thoughts on it?!

What does it mean if your profile nickname states you're a Bum?

My profile nic is an embedded IQ test, more than an honorific.

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. Kind of like someone who refers to himself as "BadOne."

I know what you mean BadOne, but it isn't always the case. For example, I'm far too modest to insist that people use my full name.

I only know one person in real life who has a nick on here with "goddess" in it. She in not insecure in any way and I think the title fits her to a T.

That said, I think she is an exception to the rule and you are probably right about the majority of them.

For some reason you left out Sailing "Bum" I guess I take myself far to serious.

Definitely this. I like when men name themselves Lord or Master or some other puffery. It's the very fastest screening tool there is. But BadOne; I like that

I've said this before, and I'll say it again. My 'Master' was actually supposed to be 'Mister', but I didn't notice it until after I'd made about a hundred posts, and didn't want to change it. I figure it wasn't that important, and basically, I can call myself anything I want to online. I will say I like Laurielee's full name. That made me laugh.

I think it doesn't provide enough information for me to make a decision, by itself. But if you ask, in conversation, "Why did you choose your username?" I might learn a lot about the person's level of maturity, and level of self-importance.

Incidentally, subs and slaves do this too, e.g., "nolimits," "ownedproperty," "cumslut4U." Mirror, mirror on the wall / Who is the slaviest of them all?

OMG, read through female sub and slave profile names on the other side for awhile, and feel like you need to be disinfected! Then again, I don't believe even half of the female sub/slave profiles are created by women.

Yeah, lots of Y chromosomes for sure.

Though you might be surprised. Or at least I am sometimes. One time I wrote a woman whose nick was something like "Asiansexslave." My email was, "In the unlikely event this profile is for real, please write me back, and I'll say hi and be a gentleman. We live about 10 miles from each other, and I'd be happy to buy you dinner, and just talk about kink and hang out, no expectation of anything." She wrote back, and sure enough, the real deal. We became play partners.

After we met in real life, I asked her, "Why the hell did you choose that username?" She replied, "Oh god, I don't know. I wanted attention I guess. But now my inbox in full of racist bullshit."
