No, you're the one that needs to do that if you're insisting that the sex industry pays women more than men.

I'll give it a shot... From Kink.com
MODEL RATES - STUDIO SHOOTS

Model pay varies according to content, sexual contact and website, as well as industry experience, but the following rates should give you, a potential model, a general idea of what kind of pay is to be expected when shooting for Kink.com. Pay rate is determined at the time of booking.

Female Models

Female Models make $500 - $600 in a solo shoot.
Female Models make $500 - $800 as a top or bottom as a participant in a girl/girl shoot.
Female Models make $600 - $1300 as a top or bottom in a boy/girl shoot.
Female Models make $700 - $1100 as a bottom in a TS female/girl shoot.

Male Models

Male models make $500 as a bottom in a boy/TS female shoot.
Male models make $500 as a bottom in a boy/girl shoot.
Male models make $800+ as a top or bottom in a boy/boy shoot.
Male models make $200 - $400 as a top in a boy/girl shoot. Pay is highly dependent upon experience and performance in this category.

Females make 6-1300 bucks for a shoot, men make 2-500 dollars. That is 15-83 cents on the female dollar.

Not actually the sex industry, which is what I was taking issue with him over, but nice try.

So once again you mocked me for being right? WTF? Is it just your own deep seated feelings of inadequacy showing?

Nope. You attacked the OP article as bullshit, even though you actually agreed with most of what was in it. That is why you are mocked.
I feel no inadequacy here, Ken. Perhaps you need to look in the mirror?

The article was bullshit. It attacked the White House for daring to take a stand on the wage gap which is real as you admitted. For some unknown reason you chose to mock me for being right and pointing out that the article is full of shit. I called you on it and now you arte whining that you are not full of shit.

I'm not the one whining for an apology, or about being mocked, am I? If course not.

You said the article is full of shit.
You said Carney and the White House were correct in their explanation.

The article said Carney and the White House are correct in their explanation.

So, either you're full of shit, too, because the article that is full of shit agreed with you and Carney.

But - and this is the point you have failed to miss from the OP to now (and likely to infinity and beyond!) - the point the article made was that the White House and Carney don't use the same metrics when talking about the general gender gap. They use whatever rhetoric and statistics they can to make it look worse than it is. THAT is what the article was pointing out.

Inability to comprehend articles and then arguing that their full of shit when they support your own assertions will get you mocked every fucking time.

If you can't take the heat, Ken...

Except of course the article was lying about that. The article failed to provide a single instance where Carney or the White House used the 77% figure which the author was blathering on about which is what I called horseshit on. Now go back and read the fucking article.

Oops, you might need to go back and read the fucking article. Where did the article claim that Carney or the White House used the 77% figure?

The 77% figure was used once. Once. And, that is "blathering on about?!?!?"

Your first response was:
    quote:

What a pile of horseshit. The actual real wage gap is about women getting paid less than men in the same jobs.

No mention of the 77% figure...

And, when confronted about it being horseshit, you responded:
    quote:

The headline and the entire article attempts to attack the White house and the tries to gloss over Carney pointing out the fallacy of the attack. There is a real wage gap in this country and whining because some media outlets use a facile statistic to report it is not the White House's fault.

The article didn't "gloss over" Carney's explanation, but rather agreed with it. The article points out that the White House and others) uses a different metric when stumping for policy support. The article agrees with Carney, but points out that the 77% figure that is used by those on the left trying to garner support doesn't follow the same line of reasoning.

To infinity and beyond!!

Still attacking me for being right? I'm still not getting it? Is it because you feel bad for being so completely wrong?

Musicmystery -> RE: White House Says Wage Gender Gap Stats Are Misleading...When Applied to the White House (4/12/2014 10:33:00 AM)

You both are being ridiculous.

DS is right that the article raises the point the the White House is allegedly quick to attack the private sector without considering the same factors in wage inequality.

Ken is right that the article didn't specifically cite instances. Since that's not exactly secret information, the author assumed readers would be familiar with these attacks.

May you both now find something better to do.

LookieNoNookie (I believe) stated something that I also hold to be true...if you want better pay, than get a spine and ask for it. Is it right for a male nurse with 10 years experience in a hospital setting to make more than a female nurse with 10 years experience in a hospital setting to make more with all other variables being equal? No, that is genuine wage discrimination based on gender. The same holds true whether it is secretarial, executive work, teaching, etc.. If all comparable factors within the SAME job are equal, so should the pay be. But, when it comes to negotiating pay, women are often willing to settle for less than men simply to get a job they want...and then many complain about not being paid as much as their male counterpart who may have done nothing more than hold out for more. There are many who support the idea of complaining about wage inequality. They want to stage protests and push the government to somehow "make it right" (perhaps in the same way that they are trying to eradicate poverty through redistribution of wealth?) instead of pushing for it themselves. Not everything in life can be made fair by complaining or by using the government as your "bully".

I have no respect for some people in some instances. But, respect isn't just given. It has to be earned, too.

I see you are sticking to your idea of emphasizing by changing COLORS and font size! [:D]

Hanna Rosin argues that another real problem for US women is how badly men are faring in the US job market.

----

http://www.nybooks.com/articles/archives/2013/jun/06/sheryl-sandberg-how-succeed-business/?pagination=false

"Hanna Rosin’s The End of Men is very well documented, meticulously researched, and based on the author’s extensive reporting.... In The End of Men, Rosin argues that the real crisis facing America today is not the dearth of women bosses, but the dearth of men at all levels except at the very top."

"Middle-class, lower-middle-class, and poor men are dropping out of the workforce on a previously unimaginable scale. And this phenomenon, Rosin capably demonstrates, is extremely bad for women. Male underachievement, male unemployment, and male failure are undermining marriage, harming children, and destroying families."

"In the Great Recession, three quarters of the 7.5 million jobs lost belonged to men."
