ORIGINAL: Phydeaux Ah.... Does anyone remember how DomKen kept insisting that there were no forces that were available to rescue Americans in Ben Ghazi? Does anyone remember Dom Ken saying there was no order to stand down. More important, of course was that both statements were issued by the Obama administration. And gee, what a surprise. They're lies. Oh yeah. A few other omissions by the administration do come first.... quote:
In all the material released by the administration to date, there are no notes, e-mails or drafts of Clinton’s Sept. 11, 2012 statement similar to the back-and forth e-mail chain released last year showing how the CIA talking points evolved during three days of inter-agency discussion. And yet surely such documents exist. We know from the public record that Clinton was getting real-time information on the attacks. She understood — because her own officials were telling her — that there were no protests in Benghazi and that the attacks on the Special Mission Compound and on the Annex were a well-planned terrorist assault. And yet, after consulting by phone with President Obama at 10 that night, Hillary decided to blame it all on an Internet video. Obama and Clinton deliver a statement a day after the Benghazi attack Similarly, the administration has released no notes, e-mails or other communications that describe the substance of that phone call, so we still don’t know who first floated the idea of blaming it all on a non-existent video. Nor has the White House revealed, despite repeated requests, what the president was doing that night as he prepared for his fund-raiser the next day in Las Vegas. Dialing for dollars, perhaps? In testimony before the House Oversight and Government Reform committee on Thursday, Brig. Gen. Robert Lovell, the chief of intelligence (J-2) for US Africa Command at the time of the attacks, revealed that his “analysts worked through chat” all night long. None of those documents have been turned over to congressional committees. Top military officials at Africom headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany, told me they watched live video feed from a Predator drone over the Special Mission Compound and later, over the Benghazi airport and the Annex, which clearly showed there were no protests. So far, that footage has not been released We know that orders were issued, then recalled, to deploy a 50-man Special Forces unit from Croatia that could have reached Benghazi within hours. But no documents on who ordered that unit to stand down have yet been released. No idea where you got this specious bullshit but you can do the fucking math yourself. The flight time from Croatia precludes any aircraft that could deploy troops. Would you please stop spreading such crap. For the fucking moronic and clueless, which I guess includes certain dumbass right wingers, Croatia is farther away from Benghazi than Italy. Even if we actually had a special forces team on ready at an airfield with a fueled aircraft and all the gear stowed and them sitting on the plane, at midnight on a Tuesday, it would have still been a 6 to 8 hour flight to get to Benghazi (depending on what the plane was). Just curious Ken. Wondering how you - or anyone could know when a fight was going to end? So the call comes in at 10 pm. Consulate under attack - with only *3* guards. How exactly do you not send troops to back them up. Or even better - since this was (facetiously) all because of the riots that occurred all over the muslim world earlier that day - how is it that you don't beef up security or pull the team? Someone gave the order for those troops to go. Hint: Military commander, responding to the state department's request for assistance. Someone gave the order contravening support. Hint: Politician, named obama, wanting to ensure nothing disrupted his political narrative that Al-qaida was dead and GM was alive. Breaking it down into little words. Someone gave the order, thinking those troops would be of assistance. Since we don't know when the fight was going to end, prudence would seem to dictate sending them doesn't it. Dougherty died on the roof, painting the mortar position with a laser illuminator to "light up" the hostile position because he had been told that air support was on the way. Air Support that Hicks (now in charge of the mission) had told them was coming. And air support which never came because it was contravened. Only no one bothered to tell Dougherty. Stevens. Smith. Dougherty. Woods.
