Status: offline 		And here I thought God was that being to help those out of suffering, hatred, and danger? A powerful force for good and law. One that has deep wisdom on how us humans should live our lives. To be at peace, without war and conflict.

What does such a God gain by being feared by his followers? I can understand his enemies, but those that worship Him?

Status: offline 		"Fear" in this context, to me, is NOT the same as being afraid or frightened. Fear of God is more a feeling of awe and reverence.

I thought fear was normal when you know you are doing something wrong.

I can't imagine why God would be afraid, so his fear doesn't affect me either way.

If God were afraid, and I believed God was afraid, that could be a concern. But there's no indication that's the case.
