I actually used to go out to the ranch and practice drive by shooting. As long as the car is moving you cannot hit a thing. You really do have to stop the car. Which then makes knives just as practical.

How is it that airplanes going hundreds of miles per hour can be shot down with air to air gunnery?
How is it that a door gunner in a helicopter can hit targets on the ground both stationary and mobile?
How is it that native americans on horse back could hit moving targets with an arrow?
How is it that mounted cavalry can shoot other mounted cavalry?
Maybe the issue is that you are just not a very good shot.

Give it a try some time. A car does not have a shock absorbing gun mount like a helicopter and the average joe doesn't have tracers to track to the target like a door gun on a helicopter. Nor, can you rise up in the stirrups and use your legs to stabilize for a shot as you do on horseback. And the last time I looked, computer controlled track and fire systems weren't available as an option on civilian vehicles as they have on air to air missiles..

If you want to reliable hit something from a moving vehicle, get a swivel mounted machine gun so you can track tracers to the target.

Drive-by knifings are tricky, I'll agree, Muse (maybe with a machete or sword, and an enthusiastic partner), but running them down with the car works just fine.

Perhaps it's a sign of his mental illness that this didn't occur to him.

Though it lacks the same je ne sais quoi as a rain of bullets.

One article I read said he DID try running some people down.

Yes 5 of the injured were run over.

Near as I know a car, unlike a trained war/hunting horse, will not run on autopilot

That must be why they call it "riding shotgun."

(Not joking either)

It comes from the fact that the shotgun guard on a stagecoach rode in the "passenger seat" by the driver,
But I suspect you already knew that.

Oh! So, not a BDSM practice amongst women during the Civil War, then.

WTF? How is this "the men's rights movement?"

Unless men now have the right to be laid by college girls upon demand . . .

[why didn't someone tell me? I live near several colleges]

That's just what a lot of MRAs rant/complain about: the right to easy access to sex by women who acknowledge their masculinity and act accordingly. If you look at some MRA's blogs there are lots of posts the least-resistance path to fucking hot women.
