Look up the definition of the word "more."

Look up the definition of the word "fail." Those links didn't have any additional spree killers in them (I might give you half a point for Debra Brown but she wasn't a sole participant).

It's common to present a link with more information.

I also suggested you Google--that's what I did, and took a couple of quick ones that met the criteria.

If you prefer to maintain that indeed, only two women ever have done this, fine, up to you. Enjoy.

That was Queen Boudicca. Not quite the same thing.

I think he might mean Lizzie Borden, killed her mother and father with a hatchet.

Lizzie Borden took an axe,
gave her Mother 40 whacks.
When the job was nicely done,
gave her Father 41.

Is there some reason to not be counting the women who slaughter their own children? Why don't they count? A woman in the LA area murdered her 3 kids, aged 2 and under, while her husband was outside working on the car within the last week or so. It happens all the time.

But I'm curious....you never hear about girls/women doing this... so....what do they do?

Killing their children seems popular. Here's a few, all just from one year alone (2012).

Tenika Revell
Lisette Bamenga
Chevonne Thomas
Chelsea Thornton
Cassandra Norwood
Tonya Thomas
Veronica Cirella
Perla Morales
Patricia Corby

They are counted, they just are not often counted in the same way. Post partum depression leads many women to thoughts of death, suicide often, but out of the 12 to 22 percent of women that get PPD only about 6 percent of them ever become psychotic. Out of those only about 4 percent actually reach the point of committing murder. Because those deaths are often caused by a woman believing that she is actually protecting her children from a danger that only she feels they are not classified as rampage/serial killings.

Since the issue is mental illness leading to murder, seems to totally count.

maybe the difference in numbers is that women might tend to seek help for mental issues and then get and actually take the meds for that? The Santa Barbara spree killer had mental issues & "heard voices", he went (or was forced by his family) to go to a shrink (he refused to tell the shrink what was going on) and was prescribed meds, which he refused to take..

Or maybe mentally distraught women are more confined in their public contacts and less likely to own firearms.

if you are determined to use a gun to do harm, then owning one or more yourself isn't necessary if you know someone that has them and you can borrow/steal them.. for someone that is determined, lack of ownership isn't a problem here in the US since so many people have them, family, friends, every second neighbor does.. That guy Spengler conned some chick into buying him guns cuz he was a felon so couldn't himself.. and perhaps a bigger roadblock is just not knowing how to fire and handle guns..

That's hilarious! I'd never heard it.

Interestingly enough, she was acquitted.

Florence King ends her wonderful essay on the WASPiness of it all with a great quote: "the explanation little Victoria Lincoln got when she asked her elders why no one ever spoke to their neighbor, Miss Borden. 'Well, dear, she was very unkind to her mother and father.'"

if I knew something was a "fact", I wouldn't use the word "maybe" in my opinions/possible reasonings/banter.. and you should have noticed by now that when I do state "facts" I do post the quotes and links..

I also loath and detest shopping. Strictly an A to B kind of person. I know exactly what I want, so I'm in/out when it's absolutely necessary to shop. A girlfriend invites me to go shopping? Sure, I'll go. .. it'll be the shortest trip she's ever made in her life and she'll never invite me again.

As for the question. .. Sure women kill, we kill all the time, but most of us are vindictive cunts and rather than just unleash on the world, or anyone in close proximity, we want it to be personal and take our time wreaking revenge on the person we believe has wronged us. I rarely see cases where a female has gone on an indiscriminate rampage.

And isn't it so much better that way?

*Side note* Oddly enough, women are more likely to poison someone before they will shot them. Women are less likely to get caught. And, yes, when women kill it tends to be more personal (meaning they take out the people they feel wronged them, family, children)

Hmmm...yeah.....these don't get nearly the amount of publication that the male spree killers get. But it also makes sense that women are more "personal" about it.

I know that's how I would do it....

Nothing I posted was a pet theory. I actually have my own theory as to why women kill and how they should be treated when they do it. Though I would also like to point out that to be classified as a serial killer one must kill at least six people (in the U.S. anyway) and very few women have six kids. *Notes also that those who does often want more not to kill the ones they have*
