I presume this is an occupational hazard of being a financial Domme. For many men, financial Domme equates as prostitute... since they are paying, they want what they want. I'm not saying their opinion is correct... just that it is an obvious explanation of why you would get such requests.

I have met many pro dommes in real life so I know that is not true. However, I met these women in the real world, not online. I think it's just a very misunderstood fetish. The reason most fin Domme profiles look like that is bc that's the personality a lot of fin subs prefer. They fantasize about a spoiled, entitled girl that's way out of their league and the only way she'll pay attention to them is by buying her things. It's probably one of the most common finsub fantasies, IME. I can see how that comes off as annoying to those who aren't into it. But if that's what it's in demand, that's what most Dommes will try to come off as.

Again, not my occupation. I think there's a big confusion about who Fin Dommes are. Most have pretty mundane jobs. I go to school and work, findom is a hobby I enjoy. I certainly don't make enough doing it to live off of. I do it bc I like it. So "hobby hazard" would be more correct. And many lifestyle Dommes have chimed in saying they have the same problem so I don't think it's limited to fin Dommes.

Do you feel that the bdsm findomme microcosm you have just described occupies a similar position in the general society at large? Is it possible that we all aspire to someone who is out of our league? Should you decide to marry would you marry up or down?

How is that not true of our society. Do not men from alpha to omega seek to "buy" the affection of women? I guess we will have to agree to disagree then. I think there are some legit findommes out there like TN who fill a need and both parties come away happy. I think the rest are spoiled little girls with daddy issues who think men should support them because they were born with a pussy. those are the ones who make the legit ones look like scam artists.

And you are completely entitled to your opinion. Personally, I don't embody the whole "fuck you. Pay me," attitude. I think the mass amount of "insta-Dommes" as we call them definitely give the rest of us a bad name. Most of these girls are clueless about what financial domination is and bc a lot of finsubs want that spoiled, bratty girl, that's the image they try to portray even if it's not who they are. There was a great website a few years back that was findom specific. It had some really great Domes with a lot of experience. I was out of the lifestyle for a year or two and when I returned to the site, I was horrified. All of the intelligent Dommes from before were gone and it was like 95% obnoxious insta-Dommes. So I can see why people makes assumptions based on girls like that. But if most of their profiles seem to be those of a bratty, entitled girl it's probably not bc that's who they really are but because that's what's in demand from finsubs.

My profile probably came off that way when I was first on CM bc I had a number of finsubs message me and tell me that I wasn't bratty enough. After a while I realized, that wasn't who I was and letting subs dictate the image I portray completely defeats the purpose of being a Domme. And I'll be honest, when my profile had the spoiled brat demeanor I recieved more gifts and tributes than I do now. So if I wasn't just being a Fin Domme for fun, if I truly needed the money to survive, I would opt for the profile that was more profitable. So you can see why these girls do that. I mean they are annoying as hell but there is a market for them.
