When the 2nd was written, blacks were considered 3/5ths of a white person. Women were not allowed to vote. George Washington was not President. And the colonized numbered just thirteen. Another popular leftist misconception. Slaves, not blacks, were counted as 3/5 of their actual number for purposed of representation in the House, and only for that purposes. This meant that South Carolina, which was about 50% slave only had 4/5 the representation in the house that their actual population would have earned them.

What if I said I lost someone dear in that horrifying event? Would it sound so funny and amusing? That conservatives complain Muslims worldwide can not apologize for 9/11, yet feel they should get a free pass for 4/19? How hypocritical is that? At no point did I say it was in any way amusing. It is in poor taste to condemn the actions of a few. The entire right condemned and disavowed Oklahoma City, something Muslims have not done concerning 9/11 so you blew it again. BTW those people, who were disavowed by the militias. had no more in common with the Tea Party than you do.

Consistent' you say? How about wisdom? Would that not make for a better way of experiencing liberty? First you say we should hold people to the arms standards of the day, then when I point out what that would actually mean you claim that your own standard is invalid claiming that "wisdom" trumps everything else. And no changing everything to fit your whims would not be a better way to experience liberty, freedom does not flow from regulation.

it doesn't even matter what the libs are doing.....it just doesn't....and the reason is because their is no real opposition to them. The republican party is all but in cahoots..... Red meat after piece of red meat is given to the republican and crickets are lucky to be heard....... You can scream about Obama, reid and Pelosi all you want.......but until the idea that the republican needs more moderates is blown out of the water? Get use to the idea that your liberties are going to be gone. Your guns, your property, you kids, your money, your life... GONE!

The .223 was not designed to kill, it was designed to disable, a wounded enemy does more damage than a dead one.

Some good ole boys are smart enough to go for range over automatic firepower. Long rifles are the trick. Drop em in their tracks before they can bring those fancy semi-automatic carbines into range.

The reason the RINOs are such a problem is that the Democrats are no longer liberals, but leftists. It annoys me to no end (and I have personally written to a number of national columnists on this) that they characterize Obama as a "liberal." Of course, he's a die-hard leftist, Chavez in sheep's clothing. To fight leftists, you need Barry Goldwater, not John "lay me down while they trample me" Boehner. We shouldn't hate real liberals; we should regard them as the opposition. We should hate leftists and defeat them by any lawful means possible, which includes digging up dirt on their personal backgrounds and destroying them in campaigns. It's what they do to conservatives. Can't go to the OK Corral with a twig. The other issue concerns the definition of moderate. We need pro-defense, pro economic liberty, pro-Constitution conservatives. We don't know anti-gay-marriage, anti-abortion, pro-6,000-year Earth religious right conservatives. Because regardless of one's views, these issues will lose the independents and many of the libertarians. Not only that, but many of the latest nutcases have in fact been left-wing Democrats, although it's important to recognize that a psycho is a psycho period.
