Rummy, moron, not Romney.

Sanity -> RE: ISIS Destroying Relics (7/25/2014 5:56:19 AM)

Rummy, whatever.

You like to pretend that only conservatives were concerned about Saddam, and you are therefore the moron here

Musicmystery -> RE: ISIS Destroying Relics (7/25/2014 6:09:36 AM)

No, you like to make up my views for me.

And i didn't say anything about concern over Saddam. I said Bush the first was right on this.

And clearly, he was. And is.

Sanity -> RE: ISIS Destroying Relics (7/25/2014 6:35:13 AM)

And the Clintons and Al Gore and John Kerry etc etc etc were wrong?

cloudboy -> RE: ISIS Destroying Relics (7/25/2014 6:41:07 AM)

Your either-or thinking is 100% ISIS here in the USA.

Musicmystery -> RE: ISIS Destroying Relics (7/25/2014 6:41:26 AM)

Your problem is that you're such a parrot that you can't imagine anyone not simply repeating either/or talking points.

Show me ANY post where I EVER suggested invading Iraq was a good idea. In fact, I published national columns against both this and invading Afghanistan.

Now show me SEVERAL where I called the current administration Bush Lite.

Wake up, Sparky. There's a whole world out there.

So you're saying George H. Bush was wrong?

History is showing us otherwise.

Sanity -> RE: ISIS Destroying Relics (7/25/2014 7:28:37 AM)

Your problem is that you cannot focus on the issues because when you do you always lose, and you must therefore attack the person posting or blame Bush or whatever

George W. Bush wasn't looking the other way as ISIS / al-Qaeda took Syria, Mosul and half of Iraq, Barry Hussein was

You might as well try blaming the colonial powers for Obama's gifting large swaths of the Middle East to terrorist allied Muslms (or blame whoever occupied the area prior to Muslims offering them the choice between losing their heads or converting to Islam)

All you can do, the very best you can hope for is to post your tired diversions and derail the topic away from such simple basic truths as these

Even MM calls YOU a troll

Absolutist thinking devoid of balance is the way ISIS and you operate.

Why don't you personally go over there to negotiate with them for us, inform them of all our OUR myriad nuances

That will win them over, undoubtedly

When I see them enthusiastically embracing Christians and Jews and Hindus and atheists afterward I will gladly admit that you were right and I was wrong regarding the nature of their religion and their teachings

cloudboy -> RE: ISIS Destroying Relics (7/25/2014 9:09:36 AM)

US meddling in the Middle East led to the problem. I don't speak Arabic or Persian. I'm pretty estranged from the culture there. What I could see rather clearly, was a country not ready for democracy -- much less one imposed by an outside Western Nation. Now the chickens have come home to roost.

In many ways the US does not know how to aid and help other nations, much different than ours, develop.

I also think too much of our aid is military in nature.

It's just sad we haven't been more focused on Central America -- in theory we might have been able to prevent the refugee crisis that's hit the region.

Arguably the US and the world would be better off if (1) we left the Soviet Proxy in charge of Afghanistan and (2) we left Saddam in charge of IRAQ.

Here you go, I think this is the guy you need to talk to

I'll even pitch in to help cover the cost of your plane ticket

Thanks for playing.

You are delusional if you think that I would ever ascribe such a lofty ideal as liberating the Iraqi people from the many years of unspeakable horrors and atrocities they faced under Saddam, Uday and Qusay Hussein to someone of such lowly character as yourself

So why would I bother to go looking when I know that such evidence does not exist

(Have another hit professor, your mental acuity obviously grows exponentially with every toke you take)

FR -

Just a guess, but one reason Barack decided to go golfing rather than help stop the advancing ISIS / al-Qaeda armies in Iraq with a few airstrikes as the Iraqis requested may be that Barack is intentionally sabotaging the good that we accomplished there out of his hatred for George W. Bush and for the United States itself

That would explain it, and such an assumption is probably more PC than assuming that Baracks allegiances lie with ISIS / al-Qaeda as it so often appears

A few air strikes........ Your posts are getting sillier by the day. I seem to recall the repub;lican leadership insisting Afghanistan could be taken with "a few air strikes" and the use of some special forces. How did that work out for you ?

As insane as arming them in the first place ? You keep calling for military action while calling for the troops to come home.

You need to shit or get off the pot, because in reality all you care about is bashing the President.
