Personally, we are all puppets to someone, something, somewhere---we all dance to some tune for that is the basis of human existence after all, isn't it?

But we can choose who we reply to, and who we dance for.

And those who insist on bringing chaos into life-are not worthy dance partners. If someone comes in to contribute something postive, I will gladly dance with them. If it's only to be negative,or demeaning-are they really worth looking at?

I refuse to feed that.

Hello Caretkr,

That much became obvious to me when I asked you to clarify/explain something on another thread, with polite interest and respect...... and you answered with a total fullstop, such as ..* I don't think we are going to connect on the same plane, sorry*.

So true!! People sometimes forget that they CHOOSE how to react to comments and such, not that someone made or caused them respond that way!!!
It's like saying, "He made me mad." ... no, you chose to be mad!

~enthralled

EXACTLY!!!

Either you and I are reading the same books or you are wayyyyyyyyy smarter than I am and wrote them!

You wern't making the intuitive grasp I had hoped for,it became futile to continue. And now you are expressing resentment over it. and offering me a payback-very adult of you.

No, I disagree........I showed an interest by asking and was interested in your thoughts and views, overall.  If anything, I was mildly disappointed that you dismissed my genuine curiosity, for that reason and maybe found it slightly rude to be dismissed thus.

I'm not resentful in the least and I haven't the slightest interest in the ridiculous notion of *payback*. I mentioned it in the light of the words you've since written.

Question for the reader-do you enjoy being a puppet?

Being a puppet?

hmmmmm.....Is that anything like fisting??

Yes, except that the regular kind of puppet doesn't try to break my wrist.

Sorry about that..*grins* ... it's all those damn kegals..

I tried four seperate times to enlighten you, and you totally missed my point. I finally gave up, and politely declined to indulge you further.  I said  "I just don't think we are going to connect on same plane."

And if you didn't resent this, and it was such an issue, why are you brow-beating me over it publically, rather than taking a reasonable approach by asking me privately?

No one here OWES you anything girl, maybe you had best consider that.

I can only see this behavior as indulging in revenge.

I admit freely that I did some prodding-it was part of making my point. Then I withdrew the attention, and I stopped it cold.

It really is like playing with puppets.

Question for the reader-do you enjoy being a puppet?

Nah... How can any of us be your puppets, when you are really not here?  You removed your profile and left CM days ago because the remaining members were so narrow-minded and immature.

I shut down the drama crowd with a few mouse clicks. Any of you can do that-why don't you? You do NOT have to tolerate being upset by people who behave like asses.

I would think the only person who should be upset that anyone is behaving like an ass... is the one who finds pleasure in behaving like an ass.

Hello Caretakr,

How you view my behaviour is entirely yours. I can only inform you that it is neither vengeful nor brow-beating. I haven't considered that I'm *owed* anything, that would be silly.

I was looking at your words regarding *positive and negative contributions* and I must say that it did cause me to wonder why admitting that I didn't understand statements you made, and asking politely for clarification, might be viewed as negative.

Nevertheless, I'd like to reassure you that I am not resentful, maybe a little mystified, at worst.

I have to admit that I'm probably used to having questions and queries readily answered when I am clearly interested.

But they aren't.

Why do we get out underwear in such a knot when people state prefferences?  Is it how they do it, or that they dare to?

I wear the kind that never get in a knot.

"Variety is the spice of Life"...I am often intrigue by people and their preferences.
There are so many things to choose from and I like to be informed on as many things I can.I am a very curious about  Human Behavior, what we like and dont like.

I'm finding that I miss a bit of information by filtering-but it's balanced by the lowering of the frustration level with the pig headed ones-who seem to live by puffing up thier egos at the expense of others.

This sort of thing can be contagious, and I do truly thank cm for that little red hand. So far, everyone who has posted something negative has been blocked-and the quality of conversation has increased dramatically.

At the same time, it does make me feel truly sorry for those who get involved with some of the ones I see here. The downer people, the ones who want to pull you into thier fetid holes.

But that's a differrent subject, you get what you put up with.

I would suppose it depends on whether or not you use a hairbrush. I know that Himself is very fond of hand spanking and his hand often gets red as the price he pays for the activity ... that and having a slave with a Kevlar coated ass.

Oh.. or did you mean something else? ::blinks all innocent like and stuff::

panties? hmmmm it's been so long since i have been allowed to wear panties i'm not quite sure what they look like, besides Masters "no panties" rule also has to weigh into the mix.

using fast reply.......

Ya know, after a relaxing 4 day weekend and two glasses of wine while painting I am feeling quite pleasant which of course brings out the fiesty sadistic side just a wee bit.
That being said, I must say that it can be very entertaining, in that lazy sadistic fiesty way, to see how easily some people can get their panties/boxers in a bunch over a few words. It makes me wonder who the counterparts of these personalities are in my daily life. I mean, why is any of this so important to get so all fired ( my grandpa's favourite saying) upset over one person or even several people's points of view?  Even if we agree on nothing, what the hell difference does it make??? Which brings me back to the counterparts in my daily life. Is one that gets upset over a "fat" comment the grumpy woman that manages Cubs grocery store, I see several times a week, I swear no matter how nice I am to that woman her face would crack if she had to smile. Or does one of you work the return counter at Walmart with the "kill me before I die of utter boredom" snotty attitude? Regardless, I buy my groceries and get a refund for the double charge on the movie I bought and my happy ass life goes on. I feel honestly bad for people that seem to find any reason they can to just be nasty tempered and assy. What a miserable life that must be! I would prefer to hang out with the special needs guy that sacks the groceries that is always smiling and teasing me about buying veggies he doesn't like. Lord knows that man probably has a few things to bitch about but he is finding the joys in the moments and not letting other peoples "issues" drag him down.

*gets comfortable at the feet of LaTigresse listening as she shares her wisdom and makes me think.

It seems sometimes the ones that have the most they could complain or feel sorry for themselves about..are usually the ones that seem to just enjoy life more.  It does humble the rest of us a bit, if we allow ourselves to think about it...and to bite our lip a bit before we bitch about the car in front of us driving a little slow, or the long line at the store.

Respectfully, Andrea

I find it much more healing to block out the negative, and accentuate the postive.

Of course, the negative is not very happy with the lack of attention-but that's not my issue-and it won't become my issue.
