So, now its the Republicans' mess how.

And when did he say this? I would like the video please....

Republicans had their chance to fix the problem back in 2000-2006. And they pissed away the opportunity. Since that time they have been doing anything and everything to stop the process. The bills they send forward to the Senate are laughable. Metaphorically speaking, would the Republicans sign off on a bill that removes firearms from being sold in America if the Democrats voted on it in the Senate? Course not! So why would Democrats sign off on bills they don't like?

The President is at his job 24/7/365. How many hours has the Speak of the House logged in the last two years? The President has accomplished quite a number of things in the last two years alone. Mr. Boehner is on record for the two least productive Congresses in the 238 year history of this nation. And now the Speaker of the House is suing the President over silly and stupid shit rather than doing his job.

This is a total distortion. The House and the Senate are expected to have differences and negotiate those differences. The way it is supposed to work is the House passes a bill and sends it over to the Senate who is suppose to take it up and make revisions and then send it back for a vote in the House. The Dems have simply refused to take the bills up at all then complain publically that the House is not doing it's job. It's the "Bush's fault" playbook only with the House substituted for Bush. When the Dems lost the House then they went into stall mode which then "required" the President to make laws by executive order because the House is not supposedly doing it's job. Time appears to be running out if the mid-terms deliver both houses of Congress to the Republicans and then the President is properly balanced and he will loses this power he has had since both houses can override him at almost every turn.

It turns out Lerner instructed staff to be very careful in what went into inter-office emails, and was asking tech if the instant messenger kept copies.

It's the cover-up that gets them.

You make me laugh. You believe the govt, CIA, FBI, and now the IRS when it suits you, accept govt. criminality when it's your side and now believe and blog about everything being criminal when it's the other side and now you are fucking worried about the fucking tax status of obviously partisan hirelings of billionaires when they are pursued by the other side ?

Kinkroids, get a fucking grip...everything that can be partisan and corrupt...IS partisan and corrupt, some are just better than others at selling it to the stupid fucking public all too eager to lap up their partisan bullshit.

You believe the so-called news sources you wish to believe and don't believe those you choose not to believe. Memos, I love the fucking torture memos, I love the memos in response to just who gets to do some insider trading in house committees, I truly love govt. memos.

...I suspect if the President decides finally to be not a Dem but a President, then a united Congress and he can get things done as they were designed to do. This happen to Clinton with great results. His best time in office was when he had to deal with a united Congress owned by the opposing party. Historically, this has been the best situation and gets mess-up when Americans periodically lose sight of reality and vote Dem or GOP across the board for "change".

Yup. Also a quick quiz on email knowledge. Who has their email on their own PC at work? Answer: nobody, email has kept documents on servers for years. Guess what, her pc breaking has nothing to do with this.

This is simply not true at all. When the senate offers a conference committee to negotiate bills it is the house that refuses to budge and it has nothing to do with Bush. Besides, just how does that differ from when the dems had the house 06-08 and bills were actually passed by both houses only to have Bush issue 13 vetoes and after being the first and only pres. in history not to veto a single (repub) bill in his first 6 years ?

Furthermore, the house only has a repub majority first by an out of order census taken in Texas including deliberate gerrymandering that added 5 more seats just in that state and other red governed states that took up the charge with some districts looking like a fucking jagged snake. Repubs have perfected the technique of choosing their voters because most majority voters refuse to...choose them.

True, but Obama would never do it. It might make the US stronger and mentors Alinsky, Cloward, Piven, Ayers and Wright wouldn't approve. Your historical analogy is often correct, but it assumes that the President doesn't despise the country he leads.

Right... Yeah... If George W had done this, the media elites wouldn't be running the story in the headlines 24/7/365 nonstop like they are now

subrosaDom -> RE: Lois Lerner (7/12/2014 8:36:24 PM)

If the Democratic candidate for President in 2016 called "gays, minorities, teachers, Latin American children" "small scale stuff," s/he'd be run out of town.

Most Republicans who aren't in Washington care about economic liberty, the 1st Amendment and the 2nd Amendment which happens to protect ALL of the above. But with black teenage unemployment rapidly rising toward 50% (or perhaps it's there already) Obama's just hitting it out of the park isn't he? But that's what fascism does. He's a fascist because he has no respect for economic rights or the Bill of Rights. No rights = fascism.

Bergdahl -- the release of 5 Taliban "Generals" small-scale stuff? If there's a major terrorist attack and one of them is behind it, how do you think it will look then?

Health care is a big issue and getting bigger because Obamacare is essentially the ultimate failure. Higher rates, extra-Constitutional "corrections," fewer doctors in plans, people dying, bureaucratic snafus, and this is just the beginning. It will get better.

The environment is a canard placing the snail darter and its metaphorical progeny over the value of actual living people. People who happen to include gays, minorities, teachers, and Latin American children. Global warming is a scientific fraud, as is becoming clearer by the day. Right now every weather event, no matter what it is is ascribed to global warming. Just like ... uh ... ascribing everything to "God's will." In other words, global warming is indistinguishable from fundamentalist religions. It even has an eschatology: death to the planet.

Immigration reform: yeah, that's working out real well, as TB, scabies, measles, and a host of other diseases are streaming across the border as I write. Felons who are illegal immigrants are being released into the population by the tens of thousands. It's already happened as report by such uber-right-wing hacks as CBS News.

Infrastructure spending is a catch all for make-work projects. Some are valid, many aren't. It's a banality.

Regulating banks and Wall St. -- indeed, to the detriment of community banks. That's because the largest banks aren't operating in a free market. Goldman Sachs and others kiss Obama's teat and benefit from crony capitalism -- as does GE. Who gets hurt? All the entrepreneurs, all the strivers -- who by the way happen to includes tons of gays, minorities and underprivileged youth who are crowded out of the market because they can't afford entry.

TheHeretic's after's his white whale again.

Back when this story broke, he had a hard-on like an elephant, but as the news has developed and no scandal's been revealed, his hydraulics have had to adjust while his mood gets more foul with Obama distemper.

The truly amazing thing is how the right is so galvanized by petty anger at gays, minorities, teachers, Latin American children, and small scale stuff that offends their sensibilities (Bergdahi) but the big issues like health care, the environment, immigration reform, infrastructure spending, regulating banks and wall street, etc. they've simply got one empty drawer after another.

What has the Republican house proposed on the Latin American children, for example?

It sucks when they ask for proof and have it handed to them on a platter. Gotta love Obama's comment about "80% reduction in border crossings!" and his other one about "arresting more felons!" Both of which, par for the course, were and are utter lies.

The "genius" also said "deportations ... is," one of a plethora of egregious grammatical errors emanating from The Master's mouth over the course of years, almost all of them far worse (lack of agreement, incorrect pronoun case, confusion of singular and plural nouns, and the infamous CORPSE-MAN) than Dan Quayle's "potatoe" orthography.

How about this, a competent prosecutor determine that a crime has actually been committed, convene a grand jury, convince that grand jury to indict her, prosecute her in front of a jury of her peers and then we'll see. Till then STFU.

Because its a Democrat crook in charge

So you would rather have a court cased rigged, rather than giving someone a fair trial, even if they are indeed one guilty individual?

And if she lied, how many people got killed because of it? Because I know this 'crew' that lied to America about Iraq and got....THOUSANDS....of Americans killed. On top of that, got.....TENS of THOUSANDS...more Americans with long term injuries. Because they were not 'honest' or 'truthful' about things under their watch, to the same level as you accuse Mrs. Lerner.....

WRONG!

subrosaDom -> RE: Lois Lerner (7/12/2014 9:55:27 PM)

Wrong, DomKen.

It is wrong and un-American IF YOU ARE SERVING ON A JURY IN JUDGMENT OF THE DEFENDANT to infer guilt from a defendant's either taking the 5th or not testifying at all.

It is perfectly proper and American if you ARE NOT doing so to infer anything you want, especially when Lerner has absolutely no reason to invoke the 5th except to protect herself or others higher-up like, say, POTUS.

Then you are worse than Tailgunner Joe and that is lower than low. Everyone has the right to take the fifth and no one should reach any judgment about why they did. To do so takes away the very right that is supposed to be protected.

subrosaDom -> RE: Lois Lerner (7/12/2014 10:26:27 PM)

It takes away no such right as long as I am not on the jury or, provided that I am on the jury, I put such inferences aside. The reason it takes away no such right is that since I have no ability to imprison her, to sentence her or to cause any other harm to her, my voicing my opinion is in fact perfectly legitimate.

Are you saying that if Bush, when asked about Iraq WMDs, had taken the 5th Amendment, that you would have not have drawn an inference therefrom? That others wouldn't have?
