Yeah, you don't plead the fifth to avoid saying "I'm innocent". Okay, my head is settling down there, but it was a close one.

bump. We are discussing, mostly, Lois Lerner and her pleading the fifth to avoid admitting her guilt.

WRONG!

She took the fifth. It is wrong and un-American to imply anything from that. You aren't un-American are you?

One takes the fifth when you are guilty and do not want to testify against yourself. You do not take the fifth because you are innocent and the questioner is a mean, mean person and scares you.

Here is the meaning of the fifth...

It refers to the Fifth Amendment of the US Constitution giving a person the right not to incriminate himself. This means he does not have to give evidence against himself. A person may refuse to answer a question at a hearing on the grounds that it may tend to incriminate him.

Truth transcends national boundaries and also your attempt to divert the discussion, to put me on the defensive, to bait me. Your doing so signals that you have used the Liberal's playbook to attack the messenger rather than the inconvenient truth.

"the Latin American children?

Obama broke it, when he called them his "dreamers" and suggested they could all stay if they made it here

So, now its the Republicans' mess how.

And when did he say this? I would like the video please....

Republicans had their chance to fix the problem back in 2000-2006. And they pissed away the opportunity. Since that time they have been doing anything and everything to stop the process. The bills they send forward to the Senate are laughable. Metaphorically speaking, would the Republicans sign off on a bill that removes firearms from being sold in America if the Democrats voted on it in the Senate? Course not! So why would Democrats sign off on bills they don't like?

The President is at his job 24/7/365. How many hours has the Speak of the House logged in the last two years? The President has accomplished quite a number of things in the last two years alone. Mr. Boehner is on record for the two least productive Congresses in the 238 year history of this nation. And now the Speaker of the House is suing the President over silly and stupid shit rather than doing his job.

This is a total distortion. The House and the Senate are expected to have differences and negotiate those differences. The way it is supposed to work is the House passes a bill and sends it over to the Senate who is suppose to take it up and make revisions and then send it back for a vote in the House. The Dems have simply refused to take the bills up at all then complain publically that the House is not doing it's job. It's the "Bush's fault" playbook only with the House substituted for Bush. When the Dems lost the House then they went into stall mode which then "required" the President to make laws by executive order because the House is not supposedly doing it's job. Time appears to be running out if the mid-terms deliver both houses of Congress to the Republicans and then the President is properly balanced and he will loses this power he has had since both houses can override him at almost every turn.

This is simply not true at all. When the senate offers a conference committee to negotiate bills it is the house that refuses to budge and it has nothing to do with Bush. Besides, just how does that differ from when the dems had the house 06-08 and bills were actually passed by both houses only to have Bush issue 13 vetoes and after being the first and only pres. in history not to veto a single (repub) bill in his first 6 years ?

Furthermore, the house only has a repub majority first by an out of order census taken in Texas including deliberate gerrymandering that added 5 more seats just in that state and other red governed states that took up the charge with some districts looking like a fucking jagged snake. Repubs have perfected the technique of choosing their voters because most majority voters refuse to...choose them.

None of which has anything to do with how the U.S. Congress works to pass bills, as designed. I stand by my statement and your post is a diversion rather than distortion.

While you would sing the praises of Dear Leader Boy, if he had a "D" by his name, Ken.

When are you going to quit repeating lies that have been blown out of the water, and face the fact that the IRS scandal is very real, and such activity is a threat to the liberty of ALL Americans?

1. Speaker of the House doesn't just work when the House is in Session. You think Senators and Representatives don't get phone calls outside of "business hours?" You think Senators and Representatives don't have people wanting their attention when on vacation? Please. They are on the job as much as Obama is on the job while away from their desks.

2. I agree the lawsuit is a stupid ploy.

3. I, for one (and I'm not alone), cheer that Congress hasn't added a lot of laws and regulations to our already bloated Code.

Did you just accuse the GOP of wrongfully allocating Representatives after a census?!?

Most Republicans who aren't in Washington care about economic liberty, the 1st Amendment and the 2nd Amendment which happens to protect ALL of the above. But with black teenage unemployment rapidly rising toward 50% (or perhaps it's there already) Obama's just hitting it out of the park isn't he? But that's what fascism does. He's a fascist because he has no respect for economic rights or the Bill of Rights. No rights = fascism.

http://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.t02.htm

Black teen unemployment is at 33.2%, 10% lower than the same time last year. I don't think you understand Fascism...

Goldman Sachs and others kiss Obama's teat and benefit from crony capitalism -- as does GE. Who gets hurt? All the entrepreneurs, all the strivers -- who by the way happen to includes tons of gays, minorities and underprivileged youth who are crowded out of the market because they can't afford entry.

Be fair and honest about it. Wall Street isn't sucking at Obama's teat. The Federal Government is sucking at Wall Street's teat (both parties). Crony Capitalism was alive and well before Obama was elected.

Better than claiming a dog ate your email, though. [:D]

Claiming that lost emails are only stored on the computers of the people in question is ludicrous. In that sort of environment, emails are always stored on servers

Being a hell of a lot better than Obama at getting Congress to give him what he wanted.

Yeah, but he had to lie to do it.

Also, at least he had a congress that was willing to work with him. Remember when Obama took office? The first words out of the collective mouths of the right wing was that their #1 priority was to make Obama a one term president. They weren't able to do that, and they have either not been able to do anything since then, or they refused to even try.

I remember that

Everybody loved George W. Bush from the day he was "selected, not elected"

Who could ever forget

There is nothing there. There wouldn't be anything there if W had been in office. Those con organizations shouldn't ever have been approved. The scandal is that they were. approved at all. Read the law and you will see they do not qualify at all.

The best hope here is a KEN STAR II situation wherein LINDA TRIP II calls into the Republicans with dirty information about the White House.

Mean while certain obvious posters can continue masturbating in hope. The fantasy is still most clearly alive.

Funny how that was what was claimed when Rove lost emails related to the Plame investigation and the firing of the prosecutors and all the other scandals.
