Dark Steven, thank you for this thread! It's the most fun I've had reading the boards in a year or two, I'd say. :) I'd forgotten about Batman's early influence... thanks for the memories. In the 80's, a lesbian friend of mine bought women's erotic videos which targeted a lesbian audience. About two years ago, I learned of a twitter-like erotic service for women. They can subscribe and will receive texts... of an erotic short story, but in tiny spurts. It was marketed for busy execs who want an erotic thread to continuously interrupt their day. I heard it became very successful. But, thinking back on my phone actress days... my first night of training was in a phone bank, elbow to elbow, in a huge, open room full of cubicles. They used the free for women sex-talk phone businesses to train their actresses while they listened in and gave feedback. (I LOVED that job, BTW!) Anyway, my first night of training, a guy called and just started "talking." I almost quit on the spot because this guy took MY breath away! LOL That man's voice had me in quivers to the point that I could not talk! Yeah, great, great, job! :) So, when appealing to women sexually, written and spoken words seem to be porn. The tricky part is that what turns one woman on turns another off, so that would have to be addressed. Some women like the porn that is out there already but it does appear to have a more universal appeal for men, IMO. ETA : The thing about women and sexuality that IS universal, is that we are hard-wired to respond to passionate desire. In BDSM, that desire may be expressed in specific ways according to kink while in vanilla life, that desire is expressed with other forms of attention and interest. Either way, we want to be wanted.
