Dr. Michael M. Baden, the former chief medical examiner for the City of New York, flew to Missouri on Sunday at the family's request, the Times said. In an interview, he noted that one of the shots appeared to have struck Brown on the top of his head, but that it wasn't immediately clear what that signified. "It can be because he's giving up, or because he's charging forward at the officer," Baden said.

Right this was the families coroner which seems to put his objectivity in question. Clearly he was brought in to prove a specific thing which the family (understandably) assumed was the truth.

TheHeretic -> RE: Rioting is the answer (8/17/2014 9:18:44 PM)

If he's as identified, then the man does have a reputation to protect. I won't dismiss his findings out of hand. Neither will I give the automatic benefit of the doubt to a cursory inspection without the lab tests required to get a complete result.

“Right now there is too little information to forensically reconstruct the shooting.”

Baden also said only three bullets were recovered from Brown's body, but that he had not yet seen the X-rays showing where the bullets were found which would help clarify the autopsy results.

Not that this is going to slow our resident "experts" down one little bit.

I said his objectivity, not his honesty. He is taking the families money so he isn't going to want to tell them their kid was going after the cop. Could be that is why he said it was unclear whether Brown was surrendering or moving on the cop. I wouldn't say he fabricated the results. There is no indication of that, I know nothing about the man, and it would be grossly unfair to trash him without proof. Still want to see the state and FBI reports.

Actually this was in the NYT article as well, Ken just chose not to mention it.

I just wasn't going to waste a freebie from the Times on content I knew could be found elsewhere. This is all over the GoogleNews feed.

He was shot in the front of the arms. This means that his hands were not up.
Before you tell me how stupid this makes me put your arms up and see what is facing the front.
If you are put together like us mere mortals the back of the arm is facing front if the arms are in the air so that doesn't fit well with the accomplice's story.

Again, you didnt read your own link. Its even got a diagram ffs.

English not your strong point then Rich ? Baden clearly said Brown was shot six times. It would have helped if you had given the complete quote. Far from slowing anyone down, most of us are already two steps ahead of your bullshit.

I specifically mentioned that. You need to learn to read. I indicated that to determine whether the shot had him hit while he was on his knees would need to be determined by further testing. If he wasn't on his knees when a bullet hit the top of his head how else did it happen?

Yeah. Bullets sometimes pass through, and aren't found in the body. The key bit was that the examiner who did the "autopsy" hadn't even seen the x-rays, Polite.

You're not ahead of me, Polite. You're so far behind you are about to get lapped.

~ FR ~

Meanwhile, things in Ferguson have quieted down so nicely that the Governor is sending in the National Guard...

"Given these deliberate, coordinated and intensifying violent attacks on lives and property in Ferguson, I am directing the highly capable men and women of the Missouri National Guard ... in restoring peace and order to this community," he said in a statement. Gunfire, tear gas and Molotov cocktails Sunday night marked some of the fiercest clashes yet between police and protesters furious about the death of an unarmed teenager. ~Source

Agreed. It's so over the top with the carousel horse and arcade behind him. I wouldn't be surprised if his mother or a close family member gave that photo to the media. I can understand that even though it's wrong. Mothers protect their kids. What upsets me is the lack of journalism. It seems like no one took the time to date the photo or find a more recent photo before the "innocent child" narrative was established. I blame the media for this at least as much as any thug or stormtrooper.

Has the grieving mother told the press that her son was a "good boy" yet?
