As it is turning out, even Dems are speaking out as how this is a political charge. The Judge said he won't issue a warrant for Perry.

Perry could use his mug shots in his ads as "proof" how the Dems use malicious prosocution, the IRS, the EPA, OSHA and whatever agency they can to go after political enemies. Especially as more and more Repubs and Dems are coming on board saying this is a bogus case.

Status: offline 		Things may be wacko crazy up in Canada but here an executive has every right to free speech and a part of his or her job is to approve or veto legislation

Here, the proper recourse for a grievance over a veto revolves around the ballot box

AUSTIN — Rick Perry was outraged at the spectacle of Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg’s drunken-driving arrest last year. But he didn’t feel that strongly when two other district attorneys faced the same charges under similar circumstances.
In those cases, he said and did nothing.
There were differences, chiefly that Perry had leverage over Lehmberg, whose office contains the state-funded Public Integrity Unit. As the governor builds his defense against felony coercion and abuse of power charges partly around concerns about Lehmberg’s behavior, Democrats are pointing to the two previous cases as a sign that the governor had other motives.
“The key difference was that one of the DAs was investigating his administration for corruption and the other two DAs weren’t,” said Democratic strategist Jason Stanford.

Watson was a witness in front of the grand jury. On June 27, 2014, Chalmers shared a photo of the Watson event on a community Facebook page she started called Developer’s Dungeon. “Senator Kirk Watson telling the story of the Wendy Davis fillibuster (sic),” she wrote in a comment accompanying the picture...

Apparently, yes. Did States comply with Federal mandates to increase the drinking age to 21 before Hwy funds were threatened?
