You really need to work on your quoting skills there. I never said that.

You keep speaking of these "millions of Muslims" against the terroristic Muslims. I can recall seeing one Muslim woman speak out against Islam and Sharia law and of course, there is S. Rushdie. Could you name some of these other Muslims? Or maybe their group names (s)? Since there's so many, there must be speeches or, at the very least, statements somewhere condemning their fellow Muslims.

Do you not know how Google works, thats hardly creative, is it.

Read these and try and become more enlightened on the issue, hard as that is for you.

what I find odd about all those links is they ALL condemn ISIS or the Islamic state, even al quiada has said ISIS is going to far, soo what these links basicly prove is they agree with al quiada....

waitttt isn't al quiada a TERROIST ORG?

when I asked this SAME question some months ago , NO LINKS were posted, soo blowing people up, not much outrage by them, killing a woman and her unborn child, well there was video of thousands celebrating that act, but chopping a reporters head off and posting video of it welllll that's just TO MUCH

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

how bout a links showing where these SAME PEOPLE spoke out against al quiada?

where they spoke out against TERRORISM in general and not just the EXTREME brand of terrorism that is ISIS?

I have asked for that more than once, and until NOW have been hand waved off with ohhh they're OUT THERE!!!!

Reeks of damage control. ISIS is drawing attention to the growing Islamist movement / Obama's much heralded "Arab Spring".

Now that its turning into Arab Winter the leftists and Western Muslims see a need to get out in front of it, propagandize it, spread misinformation

Its really a religion of peace, never mind these beheading, crucifixions, burying people alive and church burnings. The antisemitic chants throughout Europe? No, never happened... "See? We love Israel and the Jewish people. "

You are arguing with people who don't possess a passport or library card, don't' speak any foreign languages, and haven't ever traveled abroad anywhere. The idea that you can know everything without learning -- Sarah Palinism, if you will, is on full display with this crowd.

Without getting into the nitty gritty, I had a asylum case from Pakistan. In my reading about the Taliban, I can say that the Madrassas are a problem.

A madrassa is an Islamic religious school. Many of the Taliban were educated in Saudi-financed madrassas in Pakistan that teach Wahhabism, a particularly austere and rigid form of Islam which is rooted in Saudi Arabia. Around the world, Saudi wealth and charities contributed to an explosive growth of madrassas during the Afghan jihad against the Soviets. During that war (1979-1989), a new kind of madrassa emerged in the Pakistan-Afghanistan region -- not so much concerned about scholarship as making war on infidels. The enemy then was the Soviet Union, today it's America. Here are analyses of the madrassas from interviews with Vali Nasr, an authority on Islamic fundamentalism, and Richard Holbrooke, former U.S. ambassador to the U.N. (For more on the role of madrassas in producing militant Islamists, see the story of Haroun Fazul.)

Trying to claim you personally know this about the posters on the forums makes you look like a liar and a fool. Now I know that probably wasn't your intention but it is what it is.

cloudboy -> RE: Racism and Islamophobia. (9/3/2014 6:19:42 AM)

You're right. I don't personally know it as much as I sense it. When you see ignorance -- it has to have a root somewhere -- and in this case I see it developing from American provincialism and a lack of formal / informal education. Here's a prime example:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRkWebP2Q0Y

I own a passport and library card, have traveled abroad, speak Russian as a second language. This doesn't make me an expert in anything, but one does develop a sense of good and bad information.

Why is it that every asshole who finds something in the Quran that is hateful has to post it up as if he just discovered a secret plot by the "Moslems" to kill all the infidels?

Gosh golly, you don't suppose it had anything to do with Northerngent asking for examples do you?

The examples posted were taken out of context.

OK let the pissin' contest begin......................

Sanity -> RE: Racism and Islamophobia. (9/3/2014 7:44:26 AM)

Observant. Muslims all, adhering to the teachings of the Quran and striving to please Allah.

mnottertail -> RE: Racism and Islamophobia. (9/3/2014 7:47:32 AM)

1. Bobby Kennedy was not killed by devout followers of islam.

So, with the slobbering stupidity contained in number one, I felt it would not be worth my time to continue to two.

AQRMZ -> RE: Racism and Islamophobia. (9/3/2014 7:57:33 AM)

Ah, our first entrant into the pissin contest.

One rule however, is that all entrants must cite their "facts" when in rebuttal, else they are obviously just a butt.

mnottertail -> RE: Racism and Islamophobia. (9/3/2014 8:03:23 AM)

I await your citation of fact then, sphincter breath.

AQRMZ -> RE: Racism and Islamophobia. (9/3/2014 8:03:50 AM)

re. the first entrant in the pissin contest, it is noted that, "Sirhan Sirhan, a 24-year-old Palestinian/Jordanian immigrant, was convicted of Kennedy's murder and is serving a life sentence for the crime."

anyone else wish to step up and piss on this, watch out and don't get any on your shoes like little knotttedtail did. He ruins a good pair of saddle shoes too.

mnottertail -> RE: Racism and Islamophobia. (9/3/2014 8:10:32 AM)

As an adult, Sirhan changed church denominations several times, joining Baptist and Seventh-day Adventist churches.

Then in 1966, he joined the occult organization Ancient Mystical Order of the Rose Cross, commonly known as Rosicrucians.

So not devout FOLLOWERS of ISLAM.

So, the admittedly ignorant liar sockster AQRMZHITEATER is wrong on every count. As I said. His shoes are in shit, there near his brain.

AQRMZ -> RE: Racism and Islamophobia. (9/3/2014 8:12:59 AM)

Ahhhh, how I do like the hide button.

MrUnderwood -> RE: Racism and Islamophobia. (9/3/2014 8:14:41 AM)

snicker

mnottertail -> RE: Racism and Islamophobia. (9/3/2014 8:14:56 AM)

You keep saying that, but you dont do it. Because then you dont get to see me make a fuckin fool out of you at every turn, which is not hard, you being such an imbecile, and with the ignorant asswipe you constantly spew to the amusement of factual rational people.

Venatus -> RE: Racism and Islamophobia. (9/3/2014 8:15:35 AM)

It's one thing to lack information (or not have a passport or a library card), although I think what floors me is the way some people who really don't know much about what they're talking about try to act as if they do, even to the point of talking down to others who clearly know more about the subject.

I don't know if I would attribute it to provincialism, though. Provincialism might have been blamed for our somewhat isolationist past, characterized by people who may have been ignorant of the outside world but felt that insularity, neutrality, and non-involvement were the best ways of protecting ourselves and our nation.

When America started shifting towards interventionist policies, it was the isolationists who were deemed "provincial" and "ignorant," while the interventionists saw themselves as "enlightened" and more aware of the outside world and potential threats to America. Liberals were commonly viewed as foolish and naively misguided about the "true nature" of the outside world. Worse than that, there have even been veiled insinuations that they might have been in league with the "enemy."

I studied Russian, too, and whenever I would tell anyone this, I would get questions like "Are you a communist?" Just because I studied their language, history, and culture. And yet, I encountered countless people who fancied themselves as "experts," when they didn't know the first thing about it and were even suspicious of those who actually took the time to study.
