My only point is that Islam is no more or less inherently violent than Christianity.

Current events- facts- are slowly changing this incorrect "moral equivalency".

No two things are actually equal.
Islam and Christianity are radically different, and the world is coming to understand that.

There has to be some genetics in “racism’s” DNA, some DNA in its gene pool, or it just isn’t racism.

Islam is not a race. Detesting Islam is not racist. There is nothing in Islam which genetically compels either slightly tanned Palestinians or totally white English reverts to pray toward Mecca five times daily, to self-detonate in crowded squares and movie theaters, to find offense in just about everything, nor even to clitorectomize their women. Flash alert: Lysenko was wrong. Dipshits.

Screaming “Racism! Raaaacissssm!” on the part of a white liberal, when the matter in question has no DNA in its gene pool, no genetics in its DNA , is the surest proof that said white liberal is genetically defective. And a dipshit. And it’s not racist to point this out.

Except I am not a white liberal, so bang goes that argument.

All I'm saying is the Nazis made racial doctrine as their reason for existence, and even the least objective of people can surely see this is not the case with Islam.

Actually, that's partly true, although they hated both other races and at least one religion.
Muslims make religious doctrine (aka hatred of other religions) their raison d'etre.
They are not necessarily any more racist than I am.

Spot on. It's really that simple. You are either a Muslim or an apostate. It's binary: 0 or 1. And if you are a 0, you are to be exterminated. Is that worth of hate? Damn straight it is. And I don't care if the Muslim is question is German, Jordanian, Israeli, Japanese or Icelandic; white, black or brown; gay (hah! -- in Islam?! -- or straight; male or female. All that matters is the chosen belief. There is no racism there. It's impossible to be racist when race isn't a criterion.

Do they? Is this on record somewhere?

Surely you jest.

Yes it is on record. Here are a few:

Quran (9:73) - O Prophet! strive hard against the unbelievers and the hypocrites and be unyielding to them; and their abode is hell, and evil is the destination

Quran (66:9) - O Prophet! Strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be stern with them. Hell will be their home, a hapless journey's end.

Quran (8:55) - Surely the vilest of animals in Allah's sight are those who disbelieve

Quran (9:30) - And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah, and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah... Allah (Himself) fighteth against them. How perverse are they!

Quran (4:52) - Those (Christians) are they whom Allah hath cursed...

Quran (4:47) - O you (Jews) who have been given the Book! believe that which We have revealed, verifying what you have, before We alter faces then turn them on their backs, or curse them as We cursed the violaters of the Sabbath, and the command of Allah shall be executed.

Aylee, it was generous of you to quote the more pacific parts of the Quran. Later on, you'll have to hit 'em with the really harsh ones. (To others (Aylee, Sanity, truckin, others already know) -- I am not joking). There are always the Hadiths, too.

This is utterly foolish and, worse, incorrect. Racism is based on prejudice or behavior against someone due to certain characteristics over which they have no control. If I hate someone because they have an eyebrow piercing, that is not racism. It's pretty damned stupid but it's not racist. They chose the eyebrow piercing. If I hate a woman who wears only pink, that's pretty damned stupid too, but it's not racism. Islam is not a genetic characteristic. It is chosen. If you are born into it, you can repudiate it or at least, since you may not want to be killed as an apostate, you may in your own mind simply disbelieve it. When there is nothing genetic or congenital involved, there cannot be any racism.

Muslims also are not racist. They are anti-reason. Anyone who wishes to bathe with them in the filth of pure irrational faith and ultra-violence and nihilism is welcome, even Jews who renounce.

Why are you so stupid ? So far you have used a guy with an eyebrow piercing, a woman wearing only pink to back up your claims.

Yes. The record is called the Koran.

Then why is it that muslims promote Islam as a religion of peace?

Because it is in their self-interest to do so, to claim it is what it is not. This is allowed and encouraged by taqiyya. Taqiyya (you're invited to look it up if you want) is the doctrine of dissimulation for the purpose of advancing the cause of Islam. A Muslim is permitted, even encouraged, to lie in order to advance the military objectives and domination objectives of Islam. Really, this is marketing 101. But what is unique is the explicit sanction and encouragement of Islam to engage in taqiyya in order to deceive the infidels and win victories, thus ultimately subjugating the infidels.

Apparently logic escapes you, so thus you resort to another ad hominem. No one has the DNA to wear pink or an eyebrow piercing. You or I decide if we are going to have/wear them. You or I decide what religion we want to adhere to, if any, including of course at age repudiating what we were raised in. If you're black, you can't change your color. Hence, hating blacks is racist. It tells you nothing of their character.

I don't actually believe you don't understand what I'm saying. You're too intelligent for that. Rather, realizing you have no possible argument against mine, you have no choice but to resort to calling me stupid. Well, you do have a choice: to admit that I'm right -- but that ship ain't sailing.

Wasn't that the casus belli of the Peloponessian War? Why the Romans took Carthage? WWI, that was a big Christian War, too. And Vietnam, hell, everyone knows if JFK hadn't been a Catholic!!! Certainly Joan of Arc was so inspired, but we all know how that ended. Henry VIII certainly used religion as a foil and a reason, no question about it, but personal power was his driving force. Sure there are the Crusades, for which many would argue the Muslims are equally culpable.

Mohammed was a warrior. He started wars. He fought wars. He killed lots of people. Just like Christ! Oh, sorry, my bad.

Practically every extant war on the planet is between civilization and Muslims. Today, there is no argument. In the Middle Ages, yes, there could have been.

Further it has nothing to do with a religion's validity. Scientology is pretty damned stupid. But I'd rather have John Travolta as my pilot than Mahmoud al-Hamid

Gott mit uns.

Imagine the outcry if every muslim soldier had such a slogan on his belt.

You can be safe in the knowledge that both English and German soldiers felt God was on their side during WW1, and had parsons/vicars/priests on hand to rally the troops in the name of God and justice.

To feel God is on one's side is different than fighting a holy war.

Is it? Seems to me that both demand a position where it is felt that your cause is supported by God.

I can't emphasise enough that I have no problem with Christianity, and I really do believe there is a place in this world for both religion and science, but at the same time it's a bit rich to suggest Islam encourages violence in a way Christianity doesn't: when the evidence suggests that many a war has been fought with the belief that the Christian God supports the cause.

Of course your ship aint sailing, it is full of holes and sinks as quick as you can bail out.

Tell me this, how many Muslims have said to you you must join their community, or called you names for your religion, or told you Sharia law is above UK law. In all my life I have never met a Muslim who has even suggested that. In fact with the majority of Asians I know I have never asked them what Religion they were, be it Muslim Hindu or Sikh, because it doesnt actually matter. You claim the Koran says this that or the other, and it may well do, but at the end of the day, to me it is only a religious book, just like the Bible Some nutters take one book literally, some take the other.

Again, there is no clamour for Sharia to be implemented fully from the majority of Muslims.

truckinslave -> RE: Racism and Islamophobia. (8/31/2014 4:20:52 PM)

It's just that screaming "racist!" is their favorite insult.
They have used it so often and so inappropriately that it is losing effect.
The 21st century equivalent of crying: "Wolf! Wolf!!"

truckinslave -> RE: Racism and Islamophobia. (8/31/2014 4:24:47 PM)

Whether or not that's true historically (and I'm certainly not conceding the point), it certainly isn't true today.

And what is beyond dispute is that the founder of Islam was a vicious violent killer.
Know the root, predict the fruit.
