You do -not- want to use NAIR or any chemical depilatory around your privates! Trust me, that area is not -skin- it is both skin and mucous membrane -- getting Nair on mucous membrane is -bad-, and the chemical burns take forever to heal! For men, the skin around the penis and testicles is far too sensitive to use a chemical depilatory on, unless you want to deal with the same issue -- chemical burns. Stick to razors, wax, or sugaring (there's another cold depilatory that is supposed to be very good, but I can't remember the name... it is very sticky and messy, but it is safe to use around the genitals if you want to make that much of a mess and deal with the 3-4 days of skin sticking together until it manages to get out of all the nooks and crannies). ZWD quote:
ORIGINAL: SusanofO I haven't done this, but have always wondered why people use wax - because it seems like it would be so painful. Unless painful is the point (which it might be). I always wondered if something like Nair (you know the foamy stuff you leave on and then wipe off, and all the hair comes with it) might be- 1) Much less painful, and - 2) Less expensive - than wax. One time, I just used scissors and a razor, but it kept growing back. Maybe waxing makes the hairlessness last longer? I have no idea, which is why I myself am wondering. - Susan
