ORIGINAL: JohnWarren What was really enlightening about the Plum affair was that the "publisher" of the identity of the CIA agent, Novak, was never brought before the grand jury and was not imprisoned when (because he probably would have) he refused to name his source, but other reporters who weren't right-wing mouthpieces were imprisoned. The government wasn't interested in who revealed the information. They just wanted to punish open and free discussion. If they had been interested, they certainly would have put pressure on the one person who certainly knew the information first hand. John--- Yes, the whole affair boggled my mind, but then again...what about this adminstration hasn't?(Enron, Plumegate, Haliburton, WMD's, Iraq, the FLA vote) I recall two other reporters naming Rove, and implicating Dick Cheney. But what stumped me the most has been Bush's loyalty to Rove, this mastermind of deception and dishonesty. Bush stated he would fire or dismiss anyone who leaked the information about Plame. I guess we won't hold our breath for that one.[&:] Respectfully, Irishbynature
