Who said it had to be romantic? I'm not going to pretend a love story was depicted here. (Though it was arguably better than Twilight, 50 Shades, or even Romeo & Juliet.) I just don't buy into the criticism that the video "glorifies stalking." The guy depicted was pretty damn psychotic. Who's glorifying him here? I honestly heard more people throwing fits over how the video glorified stalking and violence than I did people who swooned. Actually, I don't remember seeing ANYONE swoon over him. Honestly, it was well done for what it was IMHO. And I think the criticism is largely part of the mentality that our entertainment is no longer allowed to shock or offend. Hell, I give kudos to the group for putting out something like this. It's a fucking music video, not an endorsement to go out and stalk your crush so you can fuck in a puddle of fake blood.
