Re: Appreciating silence. Yeah, I have to say when I first saw this question, the first thing I thought was - Well, it can be nice, I suppose, as long as it is truly "background" music. Otherwise, for me, it would tend to be too much of a distraction, and I could have a hard time giving as much as I would like, and also getting as much enjoyment as I might, because I think if it's too loud it could ruin my concentration and consequent ability to "let go". Having said that, I still think sometimes, that truly emotive classical music in the background (like Beethoven, Not Bach) would maybe be okay, even enjoyable. Whatever it might be, I think would be better if it was instrumental only. - Susan
